Any idea's on a decent amp to get? I won't be entering contests with it, its my DD im installing the amp in. I'm just looking for something in the price range of 150-180 that is going to last and push these eclipse's. My amp now is a pyramid 1000 watt 2-ch and its paid it's dues, just time to upgrade. Well looking at the manual my amp now is 75 watts x 2 RMS @ 4 ohms ( that is horrible )

Everyone keeps pushing me away from the AP15001d because its power hungry and i can't afford a new battery or a better alt, i will do the big 3 when i buy a new amp though. Is this amp sufficient enough for my subs? Thx for the help guys, they are eclipse 87121.8 600 watt peak 300 watt rms @ 8 ohms and they are SVC. My avatar are the subs, they have mounting holes on the basket for 2 more terminals but they are SVC.

I am going to get flamed, but i want to invest my money into something good. My question is if im running 2 12"s each are rated at 300w RMS @ 8ohms, i would need an amp that can do 600w x 1 @ 4ohms or 300w x 1 @ 4ohms?

Is there any car shows, bass comps in washington state? I would love to hear a system that is 140+ DB's never had the chance to hear one.

Gonna start a build in mine soon, need to sell some stuff to get $$$ for box supplies and order myself a new amp. Not going to be anything special, probably just 2 12"s, maybe the big 3 and a decent amp. Later down the road i will put some second skin or dampner in my trunk and what not... this build will take A WHILE since i will be starting school soon and hopefully getting a full time job.

i found a box calculator online this is what i get Vb = 2.595(ft3 ) F3 = 20.34 Hertz Fb = 21.54 Hertz Anyone give me the short version of what these numbers mean... Fb - the frequency that the vent needs to be tuned to. Isn't that super low tuning though? i was thinking of like 33 ~ 34 hz

Alright so sell the pioneers and build a better box for my 12"s, any idea on how big of box? and what htz to tune it at. I paid 50$ for the pair of pioneers, i can probably make a better profit on them anyway.

I have them in a ported box right now, the port noise is horrible, it is a car toys box. Im either going to sell these or my 2 10" Pioneer champion series subs, i have no idea which to keep.

I got two eclipse 12" 87121.8 subs, has anyone owned a pair of these? What kind of box did you have them in? Another vid of the 12's i sealed up the box a little better and took the 10's out. I know its nothing to brag about... but for a 300$ system it doesn't sound too bad.

It really was man... with bass at like -2 or 0 i could only turn it up to about 40. That is the reason why the treble was so loud, I'll take a another video of them tomorrow and post it up. I have a different deck installed now, usually have bass -2 and treble +4 on the deck i have installed at the moment.

There is a few songs on Krizz Kalikos CD "genius" that have tech nine in them, a few of them hit hella hard. A few are "doe doe" "butt naked fun" "getcha life right" "dead wrong" "so high", pretty much all of those songs are good and hit if you like tech.

I wish there was an eclipse guru on this forum, i can't remember the model of mine... think they are like 8812.5 or something... i can't find them anywhere online.
