  1. and if i get the N2 im planning on running AQ amps. do they go to .5ohms? or r they only stable to 1 ohm
  2. Its going into a 2000 Alero Gls And i have the space for the 12s and here is the link for the N3 Fi BTL N3 EDIT: nvm lol its for competition use
  3. so i am getting payed soon and im wondering what i should get im having troubles deciding between 3 12" Fi X and get them reconed to dual 2 ohms. or 1 12" Fi BTL N3 dual 2 ohm if i get the Xs i wouldnt need a new alt or batt but with this BTL ide need a new alt and batts and a way more expensive amp(s). when i could just get 3 Fi X and 3 250w amps and maybe just an extra battery and just save up all my money to buy 3 btls later on and 3 aq 3500d.1s. all 3 subs would have there own box and all be ported to 30Hz.
  4. oh boy you have lots to learn on here. buy a matching sub for one of those. build a decent box and don't over power/clip the shit out of them and blow them again. and as far as dougee goes if he wires the D4 up to 8 then he can wire the 2 8's back down to 4 i suppose but i don't see how he could get 8 ohms out of that. idk EDIT: yea just re-read the op most of what you described is impossible i'd like to know how this stuff is wired Think about physical woofers, actual coils. What happens when you wire an 8ohm coil in either series or parallel to a 4ohm coil, and then series/parallel to another 4ohm coil. I don't think it would work too well. @OP, I guess that possibility could work, I didn't really think of it like that. Is your box prefab ? no i had a company here that sells subs make it for 250$
  5. audiobahn wird like this mtx like this and 8ohm + 8 ohm = 4ohm if im right?
  6. OK FOR ALL OF U GUYS WHO ARE GIVING ME POINTERS... THERES TWO THINGS I DONT NEED POINTERS ON... AND THATS WHAT I NEED TO BUY WITH MY MONEY AND OHM LOADS. sorry for all caps forgot to turn off caps lock lol to lazy to retype everything im leaving school in a bit so ima go back to this topic tonight when i get home
  7. not what im saying at all im wiring the d4 at 8 ohms to 1 set of +- on my amp and the s8 to the other +- and what do 2 8 ohm loads go to? 4 ohm? and the loudest ive ever heard is 2 12" type rs i keep missing our cruise night... last year there was a hummer with 4 walled off 18" kicker solo xs... i wanted to hear it sooooo bad and i have had WAAAAY better systems then this before but i had to sell em off to pay fines and now im stuck with these and i payed 35$ for my JL e1200 amp. and yes ik 2 subs that r the same sound better. thats y im putting all my money i am making aside tell i have my system of choice (look in sig)
  8. lol the only reason i have 1 of each is cuz i blew all the pairs lol... cuz after a while i get used to it and its not loud anymore so i turn the amp and volume up and then it starts to stink haha
  9. ok how u guys put it ig ill find a matching subs asap... but by what cqtama says... ig my amp will be the first thing to go?
  10. don't mix subs you'd be better off just picking one of those and using a single sub. you're gunna break stuff.. explain how ima break stuff
  11. tig fyi... theyd all be wired at the same ohm... and the dual 12" ported box has 2 seperate chambers and i have another ported 12 box. and if i was gonna buy new subs im already lookin at some...
  12. ok so right now i have 4 subs. a 12" Audiobahn d4, a 12" MTX Thunder 5000 S8, 12" Pioneer S4, 12" Sony Xplod S4. now my question is have the audiobahn wired to 8 ohms with the mtx (this is what i have now and it sounds nice) or the audiobahn wired to 8 ohms with the pioneer and sony xplod wired together to 8 ohms. or the pioneer wired to 4 ohms and the sony wired to 4 ohms or the pioneer and sony wired together to 8 ohms and the mtx at 8 ohms i ahve a dual 12" ported box and a single 12" ported box and my amp is stable down to 2 ohms.
  13. solution to yout tuning make it so u can switch out ur port. 30Hz for daily and w/e u need for comps. just my opinion haha
  14. ok so in the long run im planning on painting my car black so i was wondering how much itd cost to change everything in my car from stock grey/brown to black black and more black.
  15. yea i know i figured it out right as u posted that lol
  16. ok so on here the pair on the left is the same as 1 positive because they just put 2 there so you wouldnt need to put 2 wires in 1 terminal. same goes for everything else on it too so (++)(--) is 1 side and (++) (--) is the otherside. does that sound right?
  17. i was reading around and it said that the 4 terminals on each side is like a "Y" connection so u dont have 2 put 2 wires into the same terminal u can just use the one next to it and itd do the same thing.
  18. on each side. and the model name is "12" audiobahn aw1200q"
  19. on the pic it shows 4 terminals 2 pos and 2 neg. my sub has 4 pos and 4 neg is that just the diagram for each coil?
  20. so i ahve a 12" audiobahn aq1200w dvc 4 ohm and the terminals are confusing me. this is wat the rf wiring wizard says now the terminals go + - - + on 1 side and + - - + how would i hook this sub up to go to 8 ohms
  21. uhh you cant bridge a monoblock amplifier dude. thats not even enough power for a single X let alone 2 unless you upgrade the amp i im upgrading to a Sundown SAX-125.2 after i get the subs
  22. is the jl am mono or 2 channel, both can have those same inputs and does it say bridged at all on the amp i could be wrong but never heard of a 2 ohm svc sub, ive only seen svc 4 and 8 ohm they r the 12" Fi X series subs Fi X series. im planning on getting 2 untell i can afford something better. and the amp says "non bridgable" right under the + and - My amp
