  1. Hifonics brutus 2400rms 1 0hm stable. i used it on the subs before. I actually just got off the phone with dc audio and im gonna go with a 3.5 cubic foot box with a port size of 14.25h x 4w x 27.6L tuned to 35hz and it should slap. port being on driver side. Now can anymore help me figure out all the numbers and everything for this box to get it to where it needs to be?
  2. Ill most likely tune it to like 35-38hz. If you think that box is to small then what size do you guys recommend then
  3. If you go to dc's website it says to have the box 1.5 cubic feet for ported for each sub. so i figured 3.0 would be good after taking in account the port and 2 subs.
  4. Ok guys i have a 95 honda civic coupe. I say this because i have sealed of the trunk and i now and gonna use that area for my box. I have 2 12in dc audio lvl 4's and im gonna build a 3cubic foot box for them. What size port should i use? Shuould i have it in the center of the 2 subs or on the driver side? What hz would you recommend to tune it to if i want it loud as hell as well as daily bump and comp? Also how wide should i make the port?
  5. dont worry bro i did the same thing running my subs at .25 ohms. My system slammed but my amp kept cutting out. dc audio sent me a wiring diagram for running dual 1 ohm subs at a safe 1 ohm load
  6. ive seen that before and man it is goofy lol... i would recommend subs up and port back but mine friends use to do subs and ports back and there shit was straight slappin
  7. thanks everyone for your opinions but the way i see it as is everyone is just giving me opinions on what they use and like. this is gonna be tough to find the amps i really want to run
  8. thats what i plan on doing i keep going through all his builds reading everything and take lots of notes lol i wanna take pride in this one thats why im doing all my research all in advance... i also plan on going to school for car audio soon i hope. Oh and thanks for all your help so far. i really like this place it helps so much
  9. ill most likely be putting this setup in a blazer im in the market for a new car and i know there are alot more options in a SUV when it comes to systems. When i do my box i plan on taking one of Steves ideas lol... ive had my share of systems but i want this one to be my best. I have a lil shitty system right now that i wanna sell that just wont do the job that i want
  10. what i plan on doing is running all 1/0 wire, an upgraded alternator and a few batteries
  11. My goall for my build is gonna be 150db plus and still be able to play regular music
  12. Ok so i wanna do a loud ass system but i dont completely want to break the bank. I will be buying 2 18'' RE Audio subs but im unsure which amps to use with them? I was just looking around and saw a Power Acoustik 3000 watt mono amp that pushes 1800 watts rms @ 2 ohms and 2300 rms @ 1 ohm. Now is this gonna be a good amp for these subs or not? I also want to run each sub its own amp. What are some recomendations without being to pricy and most likely i wanna run the 18" Mts's from RE. What are some good choices in amps? Prices? Where to find them? Thnks
