imo i would try and just screw some hinges to the seat and to the body of the car. it might not fold down all the way. however to hold the seat up i would use something off of a cabnet for like a kitchen or something with that plastic thing that attaches to the other peice. kinda like male and female peice. just a few ideas. im pretty good at fabbign up custom one off sheet!. good luck with making that work.

i dunno much about datsuns except that this guy i know has a 72 datsun 510 with a sr20 greddy turbo charged, it ran a mid 9 second run in the 1/4 mile and also that we were going 90 halfway down a residential street. with that said i would deffinitly do a motor swap! power to weight ratio is out standing
