  1. Hey, I thought I would asked the one community that knows their car audio what setup I should get. I have a 2000 dodge durango that had 2 12s that I recently took out due to one sounding like fart and the other one had air leaks around it (they were kickers), I also got rid of the crappy amp. Now I'm on a $300 budget. I'm not wanting something HUGE which is why I set my budget as it is. I want something that people will hear as I ride by and that people will hear from afar, you know, something noticeable. I also importantly, want something that will last me. I'm sorry if I sound picky but I'm a noob when it comes to car audio and it'd be best to take recommendations from someone who knows. I need recommendations for an amp, two subwoofers, and what kind of box, the box will be made by my dad since he knows how to do all that stuff. thanks everyone.
  2. Thank you everyone. I found it easier to run the newer wires directly. I also disconnected the speaker wire harness from the stock volume knob and reran it behind the head unit and connected the corresponding wires. The reason I ran the wires direct is because I figured out how to connect the wires with the stock wires but the battery died in the process of doing this and when I recharged the battery the battery wire had no current, only the ignition wire did. Old cars suck LOL
  3. run new main wires (12v+, ACC, and Ground) to where? I can't figure out which is which
  4. Those wires in the first post are all power wires and anti theft wires. I found the speaker wires under the Gear shift where all the power window buttons are located.
  5. For a pal, look at the new picture of the wires I found. I found the ground and memory I believe, because the other harness looks like speaker wires. Also, the car is a 1986 model holy crap
  6. That's the thing. I'm not sure if I should cut the factory wires because it might or might not work. EDIT: I found another harness in the back that was connected.
  7. Someone left me a 300 SDL-Turbo Mercedes without even telling me but they're paying me. I took out the stock head unit and looked at the connections and its different than anything I've ever seen(Picture below). Also, I found the yellow, red, and ground wire(black). and of course these are the new head unit connections: How would I connect this head unit to this car? I've looked online for adapters but I have yet to find anything. Do I need to strip these wires and connect them with the corresponding? Please help out. If this helps out any:
