Another thing, for some reason, when I started to crank up the head unit, the louder i made it, the less the subs would out put. Basically they were louder at 10, than they were at 40..

2 12" Kicker L7's @ 1Ohm 1200W Diamond Audio Amp I had them in another car I had so that how I know the performance. I'm grounded to the floor of my trunk, pulled up the carpet, sanded an area down, and put a self tapping screw.

so i just put my subs and amp in my truck and hooked it all up correctly and played it for the first time and it didnt sound right it wasnt as loud as it usually was and everything was dimming, so after 30 mins of play or so i got home and felt the amp and it was too hot to touch and normally it is as cold as a cucumber so idk what the problem was, im just pissed i have no idea what i did wrong it should be about 75% louder. any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, one is an 06, and the other is an 08.

Yeah, it sounds horrible in that box, the guy I bought it from had it in a Focus, so thats' why.
