Same thing happened to me but mine refunded within two days.. Weird
Yeah mine said pending until september 3rd, then it changed to september 17th, im pissed
You just have to wait no choice it sucks big time!!
You have to wait for it to clear... Can't do anything about it.
So i have to wait almost 3 weeks for my money?
Thats ridiculous, it automatically takes the money out of my account and sends it to him, why cant they automatically take it from his account?
Im pissed, this sucks a big one lol

So i ordered something on eBay, but turns out the seller said the item ended up being defective, so he issued my refund ..
Paypal says that the refund is pending until September 17th, 2010 ..
What else can i do besides sit around and just let someone else play with my money?
-
probaly around 300 or so the one i have right now is stock and the biggest one i can find where i am at is a police alt at 140 watts
140 amps?
-
Alright Well im just asking because i have a Kicker ZX1000.1 that is only 2ohm stable ..
Ill run a Dual 4 ohm level 3 on it ..
Then ill sell My AQ1200D and my Kicker ZX to buy a AQ2200D and another Level 3 ..
Just what my plans are for the next month or so
What are dual leads? off the coil?
-
i had 4 10" level 3s with lv4 coils and an extra spider on 1500ea daily no problem
Yeah but these will have level 3 coils, so they should still handle like 1200?
-
Personally, i would never run 1500 rms to a level 3, only people that are too proud of such a brand could do such a thing but it would definately handle 1000 daily.
So lets say i had 1 of them on 1000wrms, but the amp puts out like 1200? Would that work for a while?
But then i put 2 of them on like AQ2200D? Which is like 2500watts .. would that work?
-
BUMP ..
it can take as much as you give it before it blows up
depends 100% on the enclosure.
if you are getting 1 i would get a 1500W RMS amp and just be smart with it. If your running 2 i would probably put 2000W rms to the pair and just let it bang without worry.
So can DC Level 3 really take like 1500wrms?
Their rated at 600rms
-
2 15" Level 4 would get loud
-
2 15" DC Level 4
-
Lvl 2 coils are tiny and pound on 300 watts 700 is to much IMO the lvl 3 would be the smart choice
Yeah thats what i figured
I guess Its Level 3 FTW! (This Time)
I figured for the extra couple bucks, im getting a 3" Coil as apposed to 2.5" that the AQ has
yeassir i do. In the above setup level 2s were replaced with level 3's and it was louder and deeper, much better sounding. The level 2s were great for getting rolling, but the level 3 is really where its at. Its more than worth the price difference. Stronger coil motor all around a better sub.
also dont forget that cone area is king, so stuff as much as you can
Alright, im assuming your a DC Tech? or Rep?
Well DC sounds like they have amazing subs, and reliable ones at that ..
Whats the most power a level 3 15 can take?
-
Im considering them too ..
Do you have any knowledge about the level 2s though?
-
Okay guys i need some advice ..
So at first i was gonna buy 2 15" AudioQue SDC2.5
and power them on my AQ1200D
Then I got prices from DC and The Level 3 15s are almost the same price shipped ..
I was wondering what you guys would recommend? DC or AQ?
EDIT:
Also could 2 15" DC level 2 handle my AQ1200D? Its rated at 1470rms i think?
Thats like 735 RMS each?
I understand thats kinda a dumb question considering their rated at 300RMS, but come on they are DC, and DC subs can handle abuse ..
Just tell me if its not safe lol

he should have somewhere around 1.6-1.9 cubic ft after displacement
He should have posted the exact port width and length ..
That woulda helped a little bit to figure out displacement and exact box volume
-
if you invert the sub and have an external aeroport then you can still keep that volume
Thats true, But this box already has a slot port on it ..
He can still invert the sub, and gain a little more area ..
But that box is plenty big enough for his sub, i dont see any issues with it working fine ..
-
The dimensions you listed are exactly 2.33 Cubic feet, which is what the woofer requires ..
But thats not including the speakers displacement ..
-
SDC's like the same boxes as HDC's. I've built a lot of enclosures for both boxes. Lower tuning won't hurt the sub, but you'll lose some mid/upper end bass is all.
I'd knock out the port bend to raise tuning and gain a little more box volume.
For 2 15's I'd do 8.5cubes with 16^2 of port area per cube and tune 36-38Hz. Nice combo for daily and hitting the lows...
I was told that they only need like 6.26 cubes for both, but people recommended 7.25 for both with a tuning of 37hz
I highly doubt i can fit 8.5cubes :\
Its going in a trunk car

The sdcs FS are in the low 30s. I think you should be fine. My brother is tuning his 12" sdcs to 33 and we think they should sound great. The HDCs need higher tuning but the SDCs IIRC I've seen a handful atleast of sdcs tuned low on here with no issues
Thanks,
Make sure to tell me how his subs sounds ..
I deff wanna see a build log, and some videos of his 12s
P.S.
I like your door panels, they turned out really really good .. Keep it up
-
Yeah but will those subs still be hitting lows since my box is gonna be like 36-38hz?
-
Well Should I go with a diff brand sub?
I wanna hit Good lows for a daily setup, but not extremely low, just like box tuning of 36hz
-
I'll play it on my AQ1200D but it will be getting like 850 watts at 2ohms ..
So should I knock out the bend in my port? It should raise it to 34hz about ..
Maybe higher ..
-
Can i damage the woofer though?
My box only picks up the Low Lows, I wanna pick up more freq
-
I have a 15" custom enclosure sitting in my garage, but its tuned to 30hz ..
Would this be okay to use with a 15" AQ SDC2.5? Just until i buy the other woofer, and build a box ..
I just dont wanna damage the woofer ..
I can always knock out the Bend in my port, to raise the tuning a little bit, right?
-
I had the kicker comps and they sound GREAT on sealed boxes dude, maybe i would get just a pair of 15´s on a good ported box, but 360$ for 6 12´s and the box sounds great hehe, besides it would be a WOW factor, once again, those subs sound very nice IMO
Yeah my buddy had them in the back of his Grand Cherokee and it sounded good ..
I just really wanna get alot of bang ..
Im lookin to spend $400 for subs
Anyone have any other suggestions? Even if its 3 10", 3 12" anything really
-
facepalm.....
Sorry DICK that I didn't get around to reading the thread about cone area .. but thanks for the comment ..

Okay so Im selling my friend my Kicker ZX1000.1 Running an Alpine 15" Dual 2 ohm, I have the sub wired in series to 4ohms, and the amp pushes 500 watts at 4ohms so its pretty loud ..
But before i sell it to him, i wanna trouble shoot a problem ..
Okay, so ill be playing the sub for like 5min, and it will sound good, then after a couple minutes it will start to smell, im assuming this is because i just re-glued the surround to the basket, im not sure if its from that, or from the coils burning up .. I ran this sub at 1000watts and it sounded great, but now im running it at 500 watts and its burning up? It doesnt make sense to me ..
Also After the smell starts to happen, the amplifier goes into protect mode .. I know its the subwoofer smelling, because its very strong inside of the port of the box ..
What could it be? A bad ground? voltage dropping? what could it be?
I know this is confusing, ask questions if i confused anyone lol
Thanks,
Dominic
