  2. At least your setup is on your own cash... A lot of people are making their dreams come true on plastic :nea:

Hell Yeah ! Plastic ? No way, we decided a long time ago that if we couldnt pay for it in cash then we didnt get it ! House, my Taurus, and my Wife's Ford Freestyle are all paid for ! So hopefully after my front stage is finished then i can save up a few paychecks and get some serious subs ! Maybe . . . . . . . Fi BTL , AA , or sundown 12's ?

  3. Thanks guys, yeah into the trunk like the vid shows near the end. Appreciate the positive comments fella's ! I just decided to start at the bottom and work my way up ! Starting on fiberglassing my doors for some 8" mids now and then will upgrade my sub power and then the subs eventually !

Might want to upgrade subs bwfore you upgrade power or you will have no more subs :clapping:

Well i meant just purchasing more power first !!! But yes you are correct !! LOL

  4. ok , one more question, if i was running my set in the trunk and running the other subs facing forward at the back seat, I.E. the two sets of subs wouldnt be sharing the same space, would that work alright ? shouldnt be any phasing or cancellation issues if they are not sharing a common space , correct ??? Thanx for the input guys !!

P.s. The subs that are facing forward at the back seat are also in sealed boxes separated from the trunk where the ported box resides .

  5. no need a splitter, just 2 sets of rca. the first set will be ran from your stereo to any of the amps. now, with the amp that is connected to the stereo, get the seceond set and hook it up to the ouput of the amp that is connected to the stereo and use the other side of the second set of rca to the input of the second amp. and on the remote turn on wire, from the stereo to one amp, and get another remote turn on wire, and use the wire on the same terminal of the first amp to the second so both amps can turn on. hope i aint confusing you. BUT DO NOT RUN 2 DIFFERENT PAIR OF SUBS. SELL THEM ALL AND GET 2 BETTER SUBS DUDE.

ps -i dont want to sell them and get two better subs, i have other plans in the future for this setup, its just that i have these in boxes and ready and was just wanting to go ahead and run all four since i have them

  6. i know this is not the ideal way to power 4 subs but i just have the two other 12's in boxes and the other 600 watt amp just sitting around so i figure might as well stuff them in the trunk and run all four ! And if i run the Y connectors will i be splitting the output voltage from the HU between the two amps ? I figured if i use the output on the first amp i would be keeping the output voltage from the HU the same to the second amp , correct ?

  7. What is the best way to run two amps ? i have one 600 watt running my two Hifonics hfi12d4's and want to use my other 600 watt to run my old sony 12's and wondering if i should purchase a Y connector for splitting my RCA's coming from my HU sub pre-out or should i run the second amps input off the output of the first amp ?

  8. Keep what have for the time being and upgrade the sub and amp at the same time.

Well i want to use this amp for my front stage so want to purchase another amp with more power for the back, but i still dont quite understand the whole thing with wiring and ohms and all that ?

Im not actually so much concerned in brand of amp but what type and wattage and ohm i need and how to wire my subs to it

  9. I really need help picking the right type and wattage amp, I have the following :

    2 x Sony 12" Subs - nominal 350 rms- 1200 max rms at 4 ohms.

In custom built ported box at 4 cubes tuned to 35hz

Current Amp : Powerbass asa 600.2 - 1200 watt max class a/b 2 channel amp

    4 ohms - 150w x 2

    2 ohms - 300w x 2

    4 ohms bridged - 600w x 1

Now my subs hit hard now, and i am pleased but i would like to step up the power and see what they can do. Can ya'll please suggest an amp ? At least a type of amp and wattage please . Also my subs are wired in series now, and im not sure what that makes my wattage and ohms, can someone please tell me what wattage and ohms i have running to them now and what i will have with say a Mono amp ? These are SVC subs so i know im not getting the full 600 to them, correct ? ARGGG ! I get confused with this , please help !!
