  1. most baskets are universale as far as what theyll mount to realisticly u can mod a motor or basket to word together why not post a wanted add here in the for sale section just make sure u buy from someone who has posative feed back thats why i like caco cause they have the i trader right there

i wouldnt get a basket from robotunderground for 40 i got 2 just like that with gaskets shipped on caco it was used but i mean a basket is a basket. i ended up painting them red anyway

Thanks man, yeah i think CACO is having some server problems today but i will keep looking on there for baskets and motors, you got two 12 spoke 12" baskets for 40 bucks shipped ???

  2. ok guys ive basically decided on the 12 spoke basket from one of the above sites but im still having an extreme amount of trouble finding motors for them !! Does anone know of a place other than CACO to find motors for these ?? I know that alot of different manufacturer's used these baskets and they accept many different motors and i would love to find some tc9 motors but im not having any luck finding anything, plus im only wanting a sub that can handle like 600 watts Rms so i dont need something as huge as the tc9's !! Please help !!!!!

  3. Thinking about ordering the 12 spoke psi or robot underground basket, seems like these are the most popular as far as parts that fit them.

I think im right here ???

At least until i can get back on CACO and maybe get a better deal but these are the type im looking at.

  4. first find a motor in your budget.

Well thats what i was wanting to do is start with a motor and a basket but i cant find anything, just one basket at psi and havent found any motors yet. The basket for a 12 was only like 40 bucks with shipping and with a price like that i could order a piece for it every week or so and build a decent sub within my 65 dollar a week budget. Just cant find a good resource for parts yet !!

coils and spiders but not much else so far.

  5. usually custom subs surface from parts laying around to make a sub.

any reason why you want to build one?

there are tons of subs to do do what you want it to do in market now.

Well i guess one reason is my budget, i could gather the pieces easier on my 65 dollar a week budget than buying a pre-assembled sub but i would also just enjoy the process of assembling my own sub, plus the pride of running subs i built myself !!

  6. I was wanting to find out where i would go to find parts like baskets, motors , coils, cones, etc. that i could buy and gather pieces to build my own 12" Sub woofer ??? Is there a single web-site that has these parts or can you suggest a few different sites etc. ?? Also any articles or how-to's would be great helps also. Looking for a side project that i could be working on a piecing together in times where i cant get out to the shop or something to work on in bad weather or such > Thanks !!

  7. I dont use the glove box anyway so thats not a consideration , and it would actually get some cool air if i mount the fan just right so it pulls cabin air from the back side of the glove box when it is closed. Thanks guys !!

    This is part of the inspiration , where he mounted a car-puter under the airbag cover in his dash;

  8. Is it possible to mount just the internals of a small 100 watt amp in my glove box ?? there will be nothing else in the glove box with it other than a small fan. Would it be safe , regardless of would it be smart, just would it be safe too ? It should work just fine.

IMAG0081.jpgIMAG0080.jpgampinternals.jpg----A horrible pic, but you get the idea !!

I always like to do something a little different and since this is such a small amp especially disassembled, i thought it would look awesome mounting just the internals since it all comes apart well and i would have the fan on it and maybe so some cool lighting to showcase it when you open the glove box !!

  9. Does anyone know what the actual cut-out diameter of a 6.5 speaker is ?? I am building my rear deck and i haven't got my 6.5's for the build yet but i am in the process of doing all the fab work and need to cut out the wooden rings the 6.5's will be housed in but everywhere i look it has the mounting info but not the actual size that i need to make the hole that the speaker will sit in . Thanks, i know this is a kinda general question but most 6.5's are the same size so . . .I have saw the pre-cut rings on Ebay but rather keep the price down and do them myself and they dont tell what the actual inside hole size is either !!
