Well I tried making a box and every way the port was about 8-10" short of port area. This is one of the boxes I made.. These are the dimensions. I tried to keep the height and width and depth the same on the outside of the box. This is going to be for a BTL 15 N2 running around 2000-2200wrms daily. Help anyone? Thanks :)

Feel free to send me some designs or other ideas 4.5-5.0 Cubic box height can't be over 18.5". I have 40" of width to work with and at least 22" of depth. I was thinking about maybe the width being 32? I don't know..

Lol. Your port area is the length times the with of your port (I.E. (16x1.75=28)) So with a 7 cubic foot box your going to want at least 84 inches of port area, and that would be 12 inches per cubic foot (minimum). So I wouldn't go any smaller then 16x5.5in, which is 88in of port area... Ahhh gotcha now. Thanks

Lol I'm not planning on putting in a 7 cube box. I just realized that's what it was.. I was aiming more towards 4.5-5

Need a LOT more port area per cubic foot. You should be aiming at 12-16 sq in per cube. Also make sure you take into account how many "common walls" your port will have i.e. walls shared by the exterior of the enclosure & the port. If you are doing one at the bottom of the box facing back, one common port wall. Not a whole big problem, but it helps. If I were you, I'd go with something like a 12w x 8h port or something along those lines. Just make sure there's enough clearance between the port wall & the sub. I honestly have no clue what I am doing on here. Lol just putting in numbers....

Or I can change the width in the port to 2" and have the hz of the box at 34.

Something like that?

I'll check around

Well I listen to mostly decaf and some regular music too. I want it to sound good on music but also put a decent score in spl lanes even though I won't be competing in contests.

This will be for daily

I'm going to be ordering a 15" BTL N2 within the next week or so and I'm trying to figure out which way is the better way to go with a box. I was looking at some prefab but none really caught my eye. It's going in a 04 Tahoe, Not trying to use the whole trunk. Possibly 40Wx18Hx22D as the Dimensions. Anyone give me some ideas? Thanks EDIT: Going to be running 2000-2200wrms.

NO just read the specs Internal Volume: 2.73 cubic feet (Net cubic feet less port displacement), 4.01 cubic feet total thats 2.73 after port displacement and add sub displacement and i would say your lookin at maybe 2.4 to 2.5 cubic feet available for your sub. unless your gonna run 6000 watts to it lol Lol shit.. I'm running about 2100-2200wrms to it. I was looking at the other boxes on that site and they're all tuned from 40's and up..

I was looking at getting this box for my BTL 15 http://www.shipsound.com/Audio-Enhancers-DA115-15-Slot-Ported-Sub-Box--273-cf_p_7952.html EDIT: Total cubic feet 4.0

Lol I was just thinking about it because I saw it on someone else's sub. I wasn't going to do it.
-
Yeah I was just wondering about that before I buy it. Lol

Could you run 4 guage to the terminals on the sub or speaker wire?

I got my new HID's a week or 2 ago and I've been realizing that my driver side headlight is brighter than my passenger headlight. I looked at them during the day and it turns out my driver side headlamp is brand new and my passenger side one is the original. So I was thinking of using Meguiars One Step Headlight Restoration Kit. It comes with Plast-X Polish and a pad for your screw gun. Has anyone used this and does anyone else have any other suggestions on what I should use or try?

You probably don't have any sound drivers installed. -
Lol ok. Yeah I was looking around and this seemed like the right amp for the right price.
-
I'm thinking about buying a AQ2200D. I'm going to be running this amp with an Fi Btl 15". Do you guys think this will be good enough. I will be running 1 battery and a big 3 upgrade. Also will be running all 0 gauge wires. What other amps do you guys recommend that I should look at to run instead of this one?
