    How much does putting it under the hood help?

    i think he was talkin about trunk..

    OH. my b, swear I read under the hood somewhere, and was like "I'm not sure how that'd help" haha but nonetheless, clean install :good:

    Thanks i will post more pictures when i get more.. It gonna take me a while unfortunately cannot afford it now

    Overkill as in too much material. Similar results may have been achieved by using less material.

    But again each vehicle, install, and goal you want to achieve is different.

    Still some awesome clean pics of the process.

    I was trying to do it once and solid.. My trunk was rattling a lot even withe the p2s.. And i would rather to get them more effective with the second skin since i cannot afford new subs..

    My whole car is deadend with an array of second skin products and I I've it !!! I. Love it so much that second skin has actually caused me to hate my 2012 ford edge I bought because it doesn't have deadened on it and it doesn't even have a system in it (yet) that car will be getting the works with deadener !!!! Looks like you did a great job !!!!

    Even with this amount on front doors it seems to be lil more quiet :) I cant wait till I make rest of the car !

    nice looks like you did a good job... especially removing the tail lights. +1 for that. black anodized ftw too

    thanks.. I had to take them off cause they were making to much noise..

    Im plannin to get at least 40 more sqft .. I would get it long time ago if I knew that it makes such a difference!

    the other problem is that all rattles went from the hood on the bumper somehow lol.. and I have to take the bumper off and put some foam under it ..

    at least I can bump my system with windows closed and cant hear any rattles !!!!

    Dont wait with deadening guys !! Im more than 100% satisfied !!

    Whats up guys,,

    today first time ever I did second skin in my car.. I had only 20 sqft so I put it on the hood and 2 pieces on each front door..

    I will definitely get more of this product.. its great! Bass is much cleaner with no rattles.. Im gonna put couple more slices on each door and do the

    back door, trunk and floor later on ..

    Ok, here's a super-newbie question. I don't have any deadening material in my truck other than what comes stock on an 06 Escalade.I have no rattling other than the rear window wiper that I can hear while playing, but obviously no dampening will help that. Truck SEEMS really solid, but I honestly don't know what to REALLY look for. How do I know when I need deadening? How do I know when I have enough?

    people usually get it to avoid rattles ..

    So, no rattles=no deadener needed? That'd be great. I don't plan to get much louder than I am, just whatever fixing my electrical gains me, so then the only way I'd need it is if parts start working their way into rattling over time from 150db blasts.

    u dont have to hit 150 to rattle ...
