Ok, so Ive been playing with the plot in Bassbox and am learning a good bit here I think. Like Meade said the cone does move the least(not that i had any doubt) at the tuning frequency but the vent velocity is highest at that point and where the box peaks is i assume where the cone moves most but at the same point vent velocity is substantially lower? Does that sound about right?

So its been decided after some thinking and talking to another person on aim. One 6'' would give a nice flat response and be loud but two 6'' would be much louder but peaky. Does this sound about right? Would there be a way to for see this with a frequency chart?

Then perhaps im just on a wrong path with this box. I want it loud but not a fart box or anything, I see lots of videos and it just disapoints me that mine isnt at all loud, never heard a single 15 in person but have heard one 18 and mine is nothing close to comparison. :Edit: Ive done a lot with PVC, before getting into being loud(by the way my two Fi 10s were much louder than this) I was making air guns to shoot what ever would fit down the pipe. Wasnt worried about wasting to much volume cuz I got a lil extra space to play with.

Ah I knew this had to be a good place. Never knew that, already learning new shits. So my current box is a little off since I effed up the port length when building it, but its 4.4 cubes with a 3.75"x16" slot port 25" in length so it should be tuned 35hz unless I know even less than I thought. Any ideas from you smart peoples?

Two 6" is even less area than I have now, would be working backwards as far as im concerned.

Well, I decided to go with a lot more than I have now as someone recomended. Its a 15" Mayhem, my box now is I think 4.2 cubes with 60" of port and it seems like way to little. The sub is barely moving, not like it's even all that underpowered, got an AQ2200D on it.

Course the diameter would be consistant, Im already getting close to the tailgate with the box being just 24" deep so external ports would be kinda pointless I think. Also, haven't seen any that actually looked good and asthetics are always nice aswell.

After working planning what I wanted from a box, got around to making the design and ran into the problem that the ports won't fit. I'm trying to tune 5cubes to 32hz with three 6" round ports. They come up be being longer than the box is deep and I really didn't want to do a slot port this time but will as a last resort. SOOO, the big question being can they be bent like a slot and still be benneficial?
