Looking good. Any clue what the depth would be or if it be less than the current pax series?
Depth is going to be less - I will have exact final measurements here soon..
The terminals was a decision to save on cost and make these truly budget friendly for those who are looking to run a large amount of them...while terminals like on the PAX are definitely possible, they add about a 10% increase in cost on a line such as this, and simple connector terminals are easy enough to use which we will be manually putting in each box before shipping them =)

Today I put together box designs along with cut sheets for the VVXv2 Series Subwoofers, in both Single and Dual Woofer Designs...If you are looking for a strong and great sounding enclosure for your VVXv2 woofers, these will be perfect depending on how many and which size woofer you are running as they were designed specifically for these drivers =). Simply browse the designs below and click the associated link for the PDF File which will give you the cut sheets as well as other specifications. So we have been very busy here at Skar Audio working on a lot of new product lines, and I have one more to announce tonight =). We took a step back and looked at our subwoofer line up, and while we do feel like we offer woofers in all price ranges, I was getting a lot of emails for a woofer line more orientated around 1000 Watts RMS that was priced in-between the VVX and ZVX lines (600 Watts and 1500 Watts RMS Respectively)....That being said, we will be launching a new 1000 Watt RMS Subwoofer line early next year known as the "DDX Series"The DDX Series feature a competition grade high temperature 2.5" Pure Copper voice coil and a powerful dual slug (190mmx25mm) ferrite motor that allows the woofer to maintain its RMS Rating with ease. Hello everyone!It has been quite awhile since I have posted much information lately due to how extremely busy you all are keeping us here at Skar Audio, and we are very thankful for that! I figured it was about that time to release something we have been working on for quite some time now =)I am personally very excited about this new woofer, and as many of you saw in the thread - this is the official announcement for that we will be releasing the all new Skar Audio VVX-8v3 8" Subwoofer!The VVX-8v3 is replacing the discontinued VVX-8 model (which was mostly known as the VVX-8v1. The v2 has a slightly taller surround, but mostly never really announced it was a v2, for anyone wondering...) With the VVX-8v3 we improved on many aspects of the woofer, allowing us to increase the RMS Power rating by 100 Watts, from 400 to now the new powerful 500 Watt RMS rating.Here at Skar Audio we have a handful of 8" Subwoofers, each catering to either different power ratings or different applications. I just bought a vd8 and love it when I listen to hip hop but I hate that type of music. When I listen to something like Korn it sounds like it is going past its xmax even at low volumes. It sounds like crap. It is in a small box about .30 cf. Amp is a Kicker 750.1 gain about half. Any ideas? Smaller box, bigger box, add stuffing etc? Thanks everyone.

Is the box ported or sealed?
I would check the settings on your amplifier as well - possible filters on head unit also. There are so many things that we could check over setting wise that might be causing the dramatic sound difference, but it should sound good on rock in general. I had test a pair of these in my vehicle for a few weeks and I listen to bands like Linkin Park and Shinedown regularly, as well as hip hop - and they seemed to sound great and responsive on both types of music.
