The brand new T-Series Series amplifiers are a brand new product line from Skar Audio, and with that being said we wanted to get some clamp testing done to go alongside our SMD AD-1 Amp Dyno results with these amplifiers, so you have a variety of tests to see their power output capabilities...Testing conditions/setup was identical on both amps, allowing for an easy comparison between the line. We are very happy with the results, and this will give you a baseline reference point when browsing and choosing from the compact amplifiers on the market.Only the Monoblock Amps in the T-Series line have been tested so far, which is the reason for the exclusion of the 2 new 5-Channel models. We will test and post those results shortly!Head Unit Volume : 60/62Head Unit Sub Level : 6/6Test Frequency : 50 HzTest Load : (1) ZVX-12 D2 resting @ 0.8 OhmTest Electrical : (4) Non-Charging Shuriken SK-BT75 12v BatteriesAmp Gain Set Level : 1/2

We are looking at an ETA of late December on these for arrival =)

Sounds like your bass knob is going out. Might trying unplugging it and try manually turning up to see if the helps.
Roger that, will try and report back.
Let me know if that helps, if not please take each sub out and DMM the coils - let's make sure they are good and reading properly. Please email [email protected] and I will be more than happy to resolve this with you directly =)

The brand new MSK Series amplifiers are now in stock and a new product line from Skar Audio, so what we did today was go ahead and throw them on the test bench here in our office to test power via clamp testing...Testing conditions/setup was identical on both amps, allowing for an easy comparison between the line. We are very happy with the results, and this will give you a baseline reference point when browsing and choosing from the compact amplifiers on the market. We will also be posting the results from our SMD AD-1 Amp Dyno testing in this thread as well, so you can see a side by side comparison of the results from each method used...Head Unit Volume : 60/62Head Unit Sub Level : 6/6Test Frequency : 50 HzTest Load : (1) ZVX-12 D2 resting @ 0.8 OhmTest Electrical : (4) Non-Charging Shuriken SK-BT75 12v BatteriesAmp Gain Set Level : 1/2

I will also be doing this amplifier on our 12v Bank (6 SK-BT75s) within the next few days. I do not have a 14v bank in the test bench area yet but one day when that is complete we will get those results as well =)
The Dyno is set up for the SK-2500.1D Testing Today, and the video of the SK-4500.1D testing should be finished uploading to YouTube shortly.
Best Regards,
Kevin

You also know, that the .5 load test, is reactive right? .Not nominal....Damn how did I miss that 15.42 Volts
Would you wire to like .2 ?
I thought it was nominal not reactive. Like nominal would mean that it is always .5 and a reactive load would change.
Could be wrong though.
No, the Dyno tests using purely resistive loads. It is NOT subject to any type of rise. If a test is done at 1 ohm, then that is what the amp is seeing for the entire duration of that test.
Now that being said, the dynamic test is much easier on the amp and electrical than the certified or uncertified tests. I would be very surprised if that amp stayed on for a .5ohm certified test.
And for the fact that he simply states they will not warranty the amp at .5 ohm. I don't get why a company would test at .5 ohm load and then not warranty if they are going to brag about results? Still great numbers and loved my 4500s.
We did the test because customers requested it, and just because we cannot warranty them at that load does not mean a lot of our competitors don't run it at that load without issues =) They are on an uncharged bank of (16v) batteries (4 Batteries), so of course the dynamic runs are short and not as much of a drain on the batteries as the cert and uncert tests, but nonetheless it gets the point across that this is a very strong amplifier. The Certified and Uncertified Tests are the most accurate tests to go by if you are looking for real power at 1 ohm.

Today at Skar Audio we put the Skar Audio SK-4500.1D on our newly built test bench and got it all set up with the SMD AD-1 Amplifier Dyno for power testing results...Needless to say many customers asked us to Dyno this amplifier once we started putting videos up of our smaller amps, and now that we are set up to do so, the time has finally come to post those results. Steve and Tony did a great job with designing and building a product like the AD-1 so that way we can easily test and get across the real power output capabilities of these amplifiers in the most accurate way possible.Enjoy!SMD AD-1 Amplifier Dyno Testing ResultsModel: Skar Audio SK-4500.1D Monoblock AmplifierCertified Run at 1 Ohm : 4,943 Watts at 13.85 VUn-Certified Run at 1 Ohm : 4,996 Watts at 13.85VDynamic Power Run at 1 Ohm : 6,208 Watts at 14.88 VDynamic Power Run at 0.5 Ohm : 8,641 Watts at 15.42 V

Nice video - thanks for sharing :-)

I see you tested it at 0.5 ohm. Is it half ohm stable for daily use with proper electrical and how will that effect the warranty?
We have quite a lot of customers run the SK Series at 0.5 ohm but they understand that it is not something we warranty. Our warranty is void when running below 1 Ohm, we simply did it in this video to show how brutal the capabilities of this amplifier are. If dialed in properly you should not have issues running them at 0.5 Ohm, it is just something we are not able to warranty.

Thank you for sharing, have been so busy haven't gotten around to it =). Will be getting the rest of the SK Series dyno'd this week and post up a thread compiling all of the amplifiers and results/videos for each.
No problem, some of us here would like to ask some questions about the video just to clear up some facts. So please let us know what you are powering the amp and dyno with. I know everyone has that question on their mind.
We have a small battery bank on the right of that tool bench consisting of (4) Shuriken batteries which in this video are not on a charge.

On Friday we threw the Skar Audio SK-1500.1D on the test bench and Amp Dyno'd it using all 3 modes available on the SMD AD-1.Very happy with the results, which are below with the video. It's a great machine that we feel fortunate to have for the most accurate testing possible on rating these amplifiers..If anyone is interested in finding out some more information on our amplifiers please feel free to browse our website www.SkarAudio.com-KevinAmplifier : Skar Audio SK-1500.1D Monoblock AmplifierAmp Dyno ResultsCertified Run : 1,523 Watts @ 1 Ohm (14.38v)Uncertified Run : 1,652 Watts @ 1 Ohm (14.06v)Dynamic Run #1 (Burst Power) : 1,898 Watts @ 1 Ohm (15.03v)Dynamic Run #2 (Burst Power) : 2,567 Watts @ 0.5 Ohm (14.53v)

no need?....
I should clarify - it is not a function for user control on this amplifier - but there is a subsonic filter built in.

We are happy to announce that the "T-Series" amplifiers are only about 8 days from arriving to our facility to start shipping out. They will be fully in stock in 8 days as stated, and for a limited time only (Today through Thurs Oct 17th) you can PRE-ORDER them at a super special price that will never be available after this week. The T-Series was founded on the principal of us wanting to design a 5 channel amplifier independent of our other lines and offer it at a reasonable price. With that being said, there are two new 5 channel amplifiers in this series as well as two monoblocks. The 4 new models in this series are all very well built, high performance, and conservatively rated amplifiers. They also feature several nice design features, such as Tiffany RCA connectors, blue LED Lighting, and a very efficient heat sink for maximum heat dissipation.
