  1. I have a pretty broad question for everyone here, all input is appreciated.

What would you guys want to see in a huge internet retail (ecommerce store) for sports and activities?

The obvious of brands and sales of the common sporting goods is in mind, I am looking for more input on all the other areas a site like this could hit!

Thanks for your responses in advance!

(P.S. - This is not a new company I am starting, but a longtime friend and serial entrepreneur is and figured I could get some pretty fast input this way!)

  2. I normally say you should not care what anyone thinks in the way you live your life, you are only on earth once, don't spend it being judged.

On the other hand, because you mentioned your parents, you do want to make sure that you don't anger them by doing something they disapprove of. Ultimately they are your parents and should be respected, but if its more that they just don't approve of loud music rather then would punish you for it, I say do it ;)!

  5. ETA : Mid January (Pre-Order and Pricing coming next week!)

    Hey Everyone,

The next Subwoofer line for SKAR is just about finished up. The Prototypes just arrived, and I am very happy with them!

Name is unassigned yet, but they are a 300 Watt RMS Line (Beefy However) and will be sold in D2/D4 10/12/15 Models.

This Subwoofer is meant to hit the mainstream market for Shops, low budget installs, etc.

ETA will be coming soon along with pricing & a preorder!

For the 15" the enclosure should be about :

2.5 sealed with heavy poly-fill stuffing (F3 around 40 Hz)

    3.5 vented @ 35 Hz (F3 around 32 Hz)

    12" enclosure:

1.0 sealed with moderate poly-fill stuffing (F3 around 50 Hz)

    2.0 vented @ 35 Hz (F3 around 32 Hz)

    10" enclosure:

    0.5 sealed with no poly-fill (F3 around 60 Hz)

    1.0 vented @ 35 Hz (F3 around 32 Hz)

All three can get down to around 32 in a vented box... the spider is softer as you go up in size as well to keep the drivers moving easily on 300 RMS. Only on the 15" with it's larger and softer spider is it reasonably possible to bottom out or jump the coil from the gap; this will take well in excess of 300 to accomplish and will likely take nearly double that at all but sub-sonic frequencies in the suggested boxes.
