What he means is there are different issues involved than just trading subs and/or boxes out. Not all subs are the same, not all boxes are the same, etc. If everything were identical as far as power, enclosures, etc. the 18" should get louder but it may not be the case. What are you trying to achieve? Ok, I want to sell my 18 and the box. Then I want to get a pair of the Sa-15s. They will be running off the same amp, I think that I will gain a little bit of bass response, a little Db gain, and maybe even better SQ (because I heard the Sa's sounds great). But in the future I want to get the AQ 2200d and put ~1100rms to each 15. Then once that happens, I am positive that the 15's will knock a good amount louder then the BL. If I am wrong someone please respond, but don't call me noob or just come here to criticize me. I just wanna know some things and I thought this is where you go to figure things out.

awe.. you love ram.. to answer this to get you to be quiet, either will be louder. just depends on what you do with it... sorry i mean depends on what your "box guy" does with it. He built my box so Im going to him for the next one.... All I wanted to know is if the SA's get down because Ive never heard them before. And im not a noob i did all of my wiring myself i just don't have a shop to build my own box.. here is a vid of the sub so you annoying little pesants can stfu.

lol I said I'd get a box for them, meaning I would have one built from this dude who has 4 18's. He built my box for the BL and it hits hard even though its only seeing 1200wrms. You don't need that much power for a sub to hit hard you just need a decent box. A sub off 500rms in a good box would sound louder and better then a sub off 1000rms in a shitty box.

I have a Fi BL 18" fully loaded running off a Sae1200D. It is a great system and I love it. But I guess part of being a basshead is wanting to upgrade. I've been thinking about a 2 woofer set up and I was gonna stick with Fi and get 2 SSDs or 2 Q's. They are priced fairly but I just saw that the SA-15's came out. I know that they are good subs and they are cheaper. Will 2 SA-15s off the sae1200d be LOUDER then the 18? I will eventually get a new amp for them. Possibly the Saz1500d, but could I run an AQ2200d?? If anyone has ANY suggestions from experience please get back to me. Thanks!

I got a 2000 Ford Explorer 2 door sport, and stock electrical. I think that my Alt is around 130amp??. Any way, I'm getting a SAZ1500d and I'll be needing a second battery in the back because I am to cheap to buy an alt. I also got a rockford 400x4 for my door speakers. Could anyone tell me what battery I should get? I am looking at the D3400 and I want to make sure that it will run my amp without clipping. Oh yeah and Im upgrading the Big 3 in 1/0 as well.
