  1. Can the emblem circle come loose on the dc subs, because im hearing a weird vibration noise from the sub like if there was a piece of plastic bouncing on the sub.
  2. i wasnt blaming the sub either thats why i said i didnt wana get rid of it and i know the box is the problem thats why im asking for help.
  3. im not sure what i want it tuned to. the box right now sounds good listening to regular hip hop like gucci but when i play roscoe dash or f.l.y is when it doesnt sound good if that helps.
  4. maybe could some one give me specs on a really good box for this sub and i could bring those specs to a sub shop and be done?
  5. its a 12" lvl4xl. I tried making the pvc some what official put flanges on the ends even.
  6. Ive tried 3 different boxes (sealed, pre fab slot, and a sealed that i put pvc ports in) i had a guy build me a 1.5 sealed box and it sounded goofy so i tried putting 2 pvc ports in they were 3 inch diameter and about 14 inches long but port noise was insane. So i went to a sub shop and they sold me a slot ported box but it sounded worse than my goofy pvc one. So im wondering if the box needs to be 1.5 like dc says cause when i use the psp-inc calculator it says the port tubes need to be insanely long unless i make the box size bigger. Im going to have one more box built and was wondering what size it should be and how many aero ports i should put in it and what size they should be. If my next attempt dont work im gonna have to sell the sub and get some pre built box and subs from best buy or somethin, I really dont wana but i want some clearer base.
  7. bassl0va's helpin me out now, ya idk about the dc clothes thing but the workers thought it was pretty funny when he cracked that joke.
  8. Alright what size box should i have him build tomarow and what size ports should i order. I wanted to have a box built by a sub shop but when i told them it was a dc sub they started ripping on me saying it was a cheap ebay sub, they didnt know rob dyrdek was making subs now, and that my only problem was that i needed a new sub. Their pretty big too i beleive there called Sub Zero Sounds in MN.
  9. I cant build boxes myself either but a guy down the road who builds cabinets has built me a few sealed enclosures, but i dont think he would build a ported one. So if the box size is wrong he could build me a new box of a different size and then i could put whatever size port tubes in it.
  10. its 1.7 before the sub was put in so im not sure the exact volume now. its a prefab box with a tall rectangle port thats maybe an inch wide, on tones of bass that seem to be really low the sub just throws out air biskets without making alot of noise at all but tons of air comes out the port but it seems not enough air can pass through for it to sound right. So i wana block the slot port and put aero ones in. I have no clue on tuning a box so any help is really appreciated.
  11. I have a dc lvl 4xl 12". I have a 1.7 cubic ft box and was wondering what size port tube and length to put in it to have it tuned around 30-35. I used the calculators but i dont think i was doing it right so id just like some help from people with experience.
