Nah I just built the box its not that. Its not woofer because its only happening because of the box never did it before i think im buying into it toom ucha nd its just normal noise i just want to make sure. I know if Played below tuning before the box would bottom out so im assuming playing too high ABOVE tuning can maybe cause this noise im getting I hope. I did hav e alot of saw dust in my box after I made it so some coulda got in my subwoofer but ive never heard of that happening. and by a lot I mean a lot I tried to clean it all out but I couldnt reach it all (BOX IS HUGE) so it accumulated in the corner of my port so I sucked it out I dont think thats causing it thought because if there was sawdust in my coil it wouldnt be good.

I just built my new box 6.8cft @ 27.8hz with around 14-15inches of port. Sounds GREAT on lows but if I put my ear upto the sub I can hear a slight bump on highs from the cone is this normal due to such low tuning? I have my HPF @ 80z and my LPF @ 25hz. I try not to play highs my amplifier is "tuned" to 38v which is 1500rms and I see minimal voltage drop. So my only guess is its just a slight pop from highs and playing above freq? IT ONLY does it on really highs u can hear it like a tap or a pop its not even audible unless u put ur ear upto the sub on full tilt, if I turn the gain just down a bit (widge of a finger nail) it stops a bit but slightly adubile. I just hope im not blowing my subwoofer, I cant really explain the noise and my cam didnt pick it up so has anyone had this happen? Its not a pop noise it doesnt sound bad mechanically it just sounds bad audibibly it sounds like airs hitting the cap and making like a pop or a tap sound haha. IT NEVER did this in my old box tuned @ 38hz never is this unloading? I didnt put any 45's in and the port could have been mae better but I dont hear it from the port I hear it from the woofer. its NEVER done this on any of my boxes I tuned high.

I was kind of looking for NON-Slowed songs... I want originals that hit LOW, ive found a few but theres not many.

I would honestly, I think hifonics is great and they do rated but so are the AP's and they're 1500rms is the same price so mights as well I run one and its awesome. and guy thats 15" Type R's don't expect anywhere near that with 12's not to be a dick if you want something like that you want the AQ's I'd even go with the AQ 12 over the Type R I just never really liked R's.

What a nice friend haha. I'd get two 15" HDC2.5's from AQ and that same amplifier and power wire etc. Since your box is free, that should be about $700. http://www.audioque.com/Street-Duty-SDC25-15-D4-Subwoofer_p_12.html $360 for the woofers+shipping then your amp/wiring and free box I like TYpe R's but the 12's are only 400RMS so you won't even touch 1200RMS with them , these are 600RMS under-rated i've put 900rms to one of these before if anything youll need MORE power in the future and I think he'll be happier especialyl having something different.

I have two huge gashes in my 18" that didnt go through its been 3 months and ive done everything down to 20hz and it hasnt gotten any bigger, now over tiem surrounds become looser and more brittle so I can see down the road this being a problem but until then id run it dont bother spending money on a recone if its not that bad.

Im worried because I have no jeep to get to work or audi0 right now man... -
Couple coats of spray it came out extra thick I love it you can tell the port is way smoother now and the box is just overall more stable also just looks good and I set it in dirt and it never stuck so that myths a lie. I'll get more pictures with my HD camera including the port I never seem to have a good camera handy when this stuff happens its going into a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport with 1000RMS and a red top.

I have a 30hz Version, I have Decafs version, I have the Original Version.... But about a year ago when I had my FI I had a version that I THOUGHT was decafs it starts out real slow coming in then kinda pauses then the first bass hit SLAMS its like in the beggniing it plays out that tempo/beat then at the end of it like 15 seconds in (right before "IT HURTS!") it pauses for like 1 second then SLAMS that line. I CANNOT FIND IT and I KNOW I got it here... ugh

Alternator for my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Sammitch0 replied to Sammitch0's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Well I was going to go mechman over DC because he was like "We offer cheaper product, because DC uses their own housings etc." Well I got qouted by Mechman and its MORE money than DC qouted me... My jeep is worth maybe $1500 due to age/mileage and I put that into it so far with system etc. I'm selling it this summer to get a Tahoe and if I spend $550 on an alternator I'd be getting robbed. Not only that I dont agree with charging that much in the first place.
