Oh okay thank you for your help. I think someone said that earlier but I over looked it on accident cuz I'm on my phone -

So wouldn't that mean that my sub could be wired at 1 ohm? I'm really confused cuz the first three replies said I was wrong -

I'm really starting to confuse myself now. I bought the sub a couple years ago so I couldn't remember if it was dual 2 or dual 4. But I just looked at the receipt I kept and it is in fact dual 2 ohm voice coils and according to the diagram I used a couple years ago to wire this sub up it is a 1 ohm load. So can someone please verify that the following diagrams r incorrect: http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=1&I=22 -

I'm sorry. I don't function very well in mornings. In a rush to post this thread before going to work I messed up the entire post. I meant to say I have a dual 4 ohm l7 15 and if I bought another it would be the same -
I might be building a system in a jeep Cherokee in the near future but before I go through with it I figured I'd get some opinions. I already have a dual 2 ohm kicker L7 15 wired at 1 ohm. So if I purchase another dual 2 ohm L7 15 and a sundown audio saz-2500D amp should I run each sub separately to the amp at 1 ohm or should I run the subs together at 0.5 ohm?

All of my batteries will be group 34 so I should be in the clear as long as I upgrade the alternator I guess. Thanks for all the help guys. I really appreciate it

Oh thats my bad. wasnt sure what you meant. kinda new to this stuff. Do you have any preference for a company to buy an HO alternator from?

I already have a 750CCA(870CA) under the hood and I was going to go with the 750CCA(870CA) yellow tops or maybe 900CCA (1125CA) yellow tops for the back

I am going to run each sub with a Hifonics HFi 2500D -2500watts rms each and the mids/highs for now will be powered by 2 Hifonics HFi 100.2 - 400watts rms each

I just recently bought an 03 GMC envoy and was planning on doing a system build with 2 Fi BTL 18's. now heres the problem...I was planniing on using the Stock 150 amp alternator with a yellow top under the hood and 3 more yellow tops in the back for the amps powering the subs and mids/highs. will that be enough to power a system this big? the whole system rms will be about 5800 watts for everything. I appreciate the help guys.
