yeah i was thinking maybe they just say that so kids wont blast music as a scare tactic or something
-
so i was in the hospital a couple weeks ago because my lung collapsed and i was reading online that loud music could cause it to happen so i asked the doctor if that is true and he said yes. now i either have to sell my subs or will reconing them down to 12s make them not hit as hard so it could be tolerable so i guess my question is will 2 12 btls hit less hard that my 2 18s and if so if anyone knows the recommended box size for 2 btl 12s

go get your self a shackle lift from autozone lol thats what i did

Sounds like a short some where in the power supply?
but the thing is, that some times it works it powers on and plays until i crank it then it turns off and then i have to keep turning off the radio and turning it back on to get the amp to turn back on
-
where are you measuring voltage? amp + and - or are you measuring the remote voltage? does voltage still drop randomly with the amp unhooked?
im getting the readings from the amp and the remote and no i dont get the voltage drop at the amp when the amp is unhooked when the amp is off i get a perfect 14v
-
I would think it would be some regulator in the amp, or the voltage regulator in your alt. But if everything else is working with your car, such as the head lights, battery light on the dash, etc, then it shouldnt be your voltage regulator. Check your 0 gauge wire all the way to the battery, and make sure it has no tears in it where it is touching metal or the chassis. If this is happening, it could be cutting the voltage. Another idea is your fuse, try changing it out and seeing if that helps. The fuse could see all the power and not be able to handle it due to a defective fuse, then it could give up and drop voltage, causing the amp to shut off.
i allredy checked my run of 0 gauge and there are no tears i think im just going to contact audioque and ask to send it in for repair

so ive had my amp for a while now and ive been getting this weird problem with it, so what happens is when the amp turns on the green light on the amp dims and will slowley go out then turn off but the weird part is that its getting 14.4v then when the amp turns on it drops to 8 volts, and whats weird is that sometimes the amp does work and it gets the 14.4v but then all of a sudden it gets 8 volts the ground is prefectley fine. has this happened to anyone else its an audioque 2200
very strange, if your getting voltage drops that means your electrical must be bad.. alternator / wiring or something..
the thing is though i have all 0 guauge and a high output alt

that car already has some get up and go for factory you wouldn't gain all that much but would have to spend a pretty penny. if you want faster find something that comes with a v8 you can get more bang for buck out of v8. Im not saying v6's don't get fast but it takes some money
oh i know i would totaly rather take a 93 mustang but i know how good my uncle takes care of his cars so thats why im more interested in his monte carlo
-
so my uncle might be selling me his 04 motecarlo ss supercharged it has the 3800 and i was wondering if there is an aftermarket supercharger for it to get rid of the stock one and put one on thats gonna give the car more output

Use the IMG tags.

my friend says that a 1986 BMW 325e would be cheaper than owning an american car idk why he thinks thats right please tell him that any german car is going to be more exensive to repair than any american car

What is the air space on those subs. I don't think you have enough. You need a good deal of bracing for 18 btl also
yeah i know i alredy got this like fiberglass kit from menards and some wooden dowel rods i just need to buy like 2-3 sheets of mdf
-
What's the voicecoil configuration of the subs?
they are dual 2 ohm going to be wired 1 ohm each amp
-
it does not have to have seperate chambers. in theory a single chamber box will be louder. Strap oyur amps call it a day.
ok so no single chamber lol
-
ok well here is the total space i have
41 1/2 W
34 D
18 H
its for 2 btl 18s running off of 2 aq 2200 so the box has to have separate chambers each for each sub and tuning 35-40 Hz using 3/4 inch mdf because that the largets thickness of mdf i can find around me
so if someone could be a real pal and design a box for me that would be awesome
-
does any one know a good company that designs boxes for cheap because all i know is dave the box guy which i e mailed and got no respose and its been over 3 weeks and i know about the enclosure desighn thing from sound salution
i have 2 btl 18s and have a question
