  1. USACi because of the streetbeat class. Ain't just bass, but who can stay the loudest over 30secs while playing music. Ain't as easy as some may think.
  2. I was just asking how it would sound compared to one 12. I know it's not for high db, I was just askin so I could compare it to what I have now. Yeah, legroom is a bitch in my truck now, but she can always get her own ride if the 12 is better, LoL. I know it's not gonna hit the lows like a 12 would. My setup hits 143 @ 34hz. I know the 8's aren't gonna get that low and still sound good, I know they're more likely to hit between 40-50hz. The box I have now is somewhat tricky to get the space it needs. The port is at the bottom right of the box facing the amp if you're wondering where it's at. All the seats have to come out to install or remove the box. Just curious about the sound difference between 4 8's and 1 12. What would sound better everyday???
  3. I agree with you there...Time is money. Fuck it...I'll prolly just get the design from you anyways later...I'd have to sell my curent set up now first though. Too broke to buy another one without selling the first one. LoL...the manufacturers specs usually aren't what most folks like anyways. That's just what they think sound the best, but everyone likes different sounds. So, anyways....what vehicle did you have this box in? What was it tuned to? What did it hit? Was it for daily listening or SPL use?? How did you like having the 8's compared to other, bigger subs??
  4. Damn, that's #4 for you buddie...I'd just pack it up and go home while I was ahead if I were you. LoL
  5. Oh well, part of car audio DIY...trial and error.
  6. Ok Ok, prices seem good...that's a lil more than what I paid for my 12, but worth it to me...more practical for my truck. Good to know the aa8's won't blow up on me with that amp. But you charge $35 just to give someone measurements for a box??? Not tryin to be an asshole here, but come on man. It ain't like I'm buying YOUR box...they're just measurements for a box. I understand trying to make a lil money on the side, but for box plans. It ain't like it's patented or anything. Come on.......lol.
  7. Damn man...that makes 2 dunce caps in one day!!!! That's messed up...LMAO!!!!!
  8. If those are the only two you can find right now and you have to make a choice ASAP...I would go with the ADS and save yourself the $200. Has anyone ever even heard of those other ones??? I haven't.
  9. I still need prices...I can't find them anywhere. And box plans. Would the aa8's hold up to 1600 watts??? How loud do you think 4 aa8's on 1600watts would get?
  10. I used to have a shit-ton of pics...but the computer crashed and I lost everything on there. I only have one pic left out of all the printed ones but it's a black and white pic of the motor, and it's at my moms in alabama. So I'm kinda screwed there.
  11. I used to have a 71 GMC C-10 w/ a 69 Chevy front. (Ikick myself every single day for selling it.) 350 +.040 over =357 ci. Dart Iron Eagle heads. 215 cc intake runners 2.05 intake valves...Comp solid mechanical lift cam .555 intake/exhaust lift, 280 duration @.050...Eagle forged 11.5:1 pistons, Eagle forged H-beam rods, Eagle forged crank, Weiand Team G intake, Holley 750 double pumper, MSD 6AL box, MSD Pro Billet Dist., custom built 1 5/8-1 7/8 in. step long tube headers, dual 3in. exhaust w/ X-pipe and single chamber Flowmasters, Turbo 350 trans, B&M shift kit, 2500-2800 stall converter(needed bigger stall), stock GM 10 bolt posi rear w/ 3.73 gears, stock style suspension (Old style GM truck susp is what NASCAR and NASCAR Truck series uses, similar to ladder bars.) This was the most ghetto looking truck I have ever seen actually driving around town. I LOVED IT!!! The front was black primer and the bed was silver spray paint. Everything was shaved off, but it got clipped on the back passenger side and the welds popped off to reveal the hole from the stock turn signal. I would drive through Wal-Mart just to see how many car alarms I could set off. The most I did in one pass through the lot was 27. This thing was FUCKING loud!!! I know some of ya'll can set off alarms with your stereos, but can you do it with your ride too??? The pickup weighed 4200 lbs and ran a 12.9 1/4 mile. The suspension was nothing but cut springs, god awful ride too, but it was so low that I couldn't fit my head under it to see the bottom. I couldn't even drive over a coffee cup without knocking it over. The one thing that I liked most about it was the bench seat in it...It was PURPLE crushed velvet. DAMN was it comfy. I got it on a dyno only once near Dallas, she put 483 hp 463 tq to the tires. > I ended up stripping the bronze dist. gear which ended up breaking off, so I sold it for $2500. I only paid $2800 from some kid in Austin back in 2003. So I think I made good on that deal.
  12. Fusion NV-12, Fusion PowerPlant amp...550w @ 4ohms....143 on TL @ 34hz. The Bxi 1606d ain't hooked up yet. Just sittin here. No time to do it right now.
  13. You could run the 2 Audiobahn 15's in one box with the 2200 watt amp...and the 2 RF's in another box off another amp...but don't put the Eclipse in the same box....either find another RF P2 or get a box for 2 12's....I've seen 1 15 and 2 10's in the same box...but they each had their own chamber to work with and they were all Planet Audio Big Bang series. Sounded great....Yours will sound good too, if you do it right. If you really wanna mix up sub sizes, I would go with 15's and 10's....15's will give you the deep bass you want and the 10's will give you tighter bass and equal out the bass missed by the 15's. i.e. higher tones Maybe you can find a trade for your two 12's and get two 10's for a nice daily system. How was your box for the three RF P2's??? Was it all one big box or did each sub have its own chamber??? If it was all one big box, I would check the other 2 P2's you have to make sure nothing is wrong with them. If you blew one, you may have damaged the others in some way and you just don't know it yet.
  14. Agreed, running more than one brand of sub at the same time is asking for disaster.
  15. pm sent....If I were to use the re subs, about how much do they usually cost??? Would I be able to put that much power to them safely?
  16. Ok, nevermind about the wiring issue. I found the thread on wiring diagrams. I can wire 6 dual 4ohm subs in series/parallel to get 1.3ohms. Which is close enough for me. I don't wanna go under 1ohm with the amp and end up blowing it.
  17. I was thinking 4 dual 2ohm 8's so I could wire them to 1ohm. With the Bxi 1606d that would be 1600watts. I didn't really have any in mind, that's why I was asking for opinions on which ones to use. I have an 02 Silverado single cab. I'm wanting to use the 8's, cause with the 12 I lost all the leg room on the passenger side. So when my wife, daughter, and I all go somewhere....my wife is all cramped in the middle and there's barely any room for the car seat. Kinda just an idea to see if I would like it better. How much would 6 AA 8's cost? How could I wire 6 subs to 1ohm?
  18. I wanna try out some 8's as my main sub set up. I already have one 12 that hits 143 on the TL. But I just wanna see how loud I could get maybe four-six 8's. Think it would be louder than 143db? The amp would be a Brutus 1606d. What do you think?
  19. Ok, you want box designs....sloted or ported. There's two box designs for you.
  20. That's the price I've been seeing on them, between $600-700. He don't care if it's refurb, as long as it works.
  21. Nothing that I know of...Just didn't see one. I'd go with an N-2. Remember how much it was??
