  1. - I was brainstorming ideas for my next set-up, just thinking out loud ya know.

I got my 2-door 99 Acura Integra, no back seats and currently have a 12 cube external, 9.5 internal box for my two MT/FI 15's ported @ 35 hertz, no wall set-up

I know that two FI BTL 18's should fit, but I was thinking about doing three. I think we can find an extra 4-5 cubes if we use every nook and cranny for air space. What is the minimum air space required for three BTL 18's ported @ 30 hertz. I know the port will take up alot of space too.

Am I dreaming or can this fit/Work. I want to do this below the window line, NO WALL If so, I will just get a 3rd RF T3000 and possibly another Kinetic 2400 + Alternator.

Just seeing what can and cannot be done

  2. Im glad you like your new cones, but the woofer is still considered a MT, just has a Fi softparts. so what your saying is.

RE MT motors with FI softparts ROCK, cool cool. gotta give love to both companies ;)

Absolutely, I got love for RE. I had owned almost all of their woofers. The MT's are great, I just wanted to try something new and I am VERY happy.

  3. Swapped the MT 15's for the FI BTL's ( MT's reconed to BTL's with all options Except cooling )

    # 1. The BTL plays LOUDER than the MT

    # 2. The BTL plays LOWER than the MT

    # 3. BTL sounds better

When I turned them up I got the shock of my life. These woofers are just stupid LOUD, and so so clean. If you thought it was loud before, just wait till you hear the BTL's!!! The high X-max cone seems to allow the woofers to go much lower and sound better doing it. The higher bass is just plain SCARY LOUD. JUST AMAZING. To SCOTT at FI, thanks you for hooking me up proper, and to Steve for showing me the BTL's in person.

    FI all the way guys.

10/10 = SQ is on par with my XXX 15

    10/10 = LOUDNESS

    10/10 = LOUD @ LOW frequencies.

  4. I ran my MT 15's for 2 years without problems. One of the subs had a broken tinsel last week ( out for a recone ) but 3500 watts all day can do that. Remember I run this system as hard as you can imagine, it will happen from time to time even with the greatest subs out there. Once in 2 years is not 2 bad huh ?

MT's are great for daily, toughest subs I have ever seen/heard. PERIOD

  5. so 750 each is what they would get with my setup , probably not enough

This is Christian, if all you got is 3000 watts total, you should NOT run MT's. If you want four 15's with that power, FI SSD's or RE SE's will be better. MT's are OK with 1500 watts minimum...but there are MUCH better woofer with even 1500 watts on each. IF you can do 3000 watts on each mt 15, you will be SLAMMIN!!!!!!

There are better choises than MT'swith thr power you have available, but you have many options

    1. RF woofers

    2. RE woofers

    3. FI woofers

    4. DD woofers
