You have also done yellow too!!!!
-
where did you get the belt from? sorry if its a stupid question
O'Reilly Auto Part store, I knew the part number, they ordered it, I picked it up lol.
-
These will be going into the truck very soon!!!!
Installed both external regs here
I am sure you guys(Eric and Matt) remember talking about wire with me over the phone, well I bit the bullet....
400 ft Stinger Pro 1/0
And new quad kit belt and 9 more 300 amp ANL fuses and some more volt meters!!!
-
And the absolute best place to ground is at the battery neg. but most everyone should be aware of that!!!!
-
Grounding at two different points in a vehicle for two lets say 4k size amps isn't gonna make a bit of difference if both ground points are of equal resistance. Ground loops are no joke but if there is a difference in resistance if resistance is equal at both points you won't create a loop just won't happen.

16-18 sq inches for the AQ HDC3 and 4 depending on power level and box size. 17 sq inches is a nice non screw up number that you can't really go wrong with and get really good results.
-
Wasn't putting to much thought into it and realized 2 18s is more cone area then 4 12s lol
-
This has been answered numerous times, but since I read it, I will reply....
If you can give the 2 18s proper air space then under the same circumstances, just more cone area is louder.
12-16 sq inches per cube is great place to start. Test and tune to find the best, requires many system builds to find the perfect number of port area. Idea is you want the sub to hit full xmax based off the port tuning without unloading. The sub hitting full xmax is where it is loudest.

the light is not accurate. I compared it side by side to my oscope
On all 4 of my AQ3500D.1s the clip light was dead on SOLID Red when square wave on TPI 440 scope.

Silly noobs lol
Anyway, I ground all over the truck oh no I must be a noob????
Not even close, lol just take a minute and look over your entire vehicle guess what you see ground everywhere, wait what? These car company must be creating ground loops like crazy huh??? Nope
Best thing to do is test a ground with a volt meter to see if it is a good location. I have my amps grounded in a few difference spots but all grounds are good locations that I choose cuz I checked with a DMM. Shortest ground clean bare metal is best, same spot isn't necessary, if you can well then it is better cuz you have a smaller chance to have a bad ground.

^^^^^8-10 is what I would recommend.
Who makes 14 volt batteries , and which ones are the best in your opinion
XS power

I am wondering more about the crossover points it seems the aq amp is better for my setup cuz I got a 3 way setup and I am also curious about the sundown amps.mainly the 4 channel amps
The bandpass mode on the AQ120.4 is very nice for this. The top end of the hpf is 5k, so if you run supertweets it is perfect.

Specifically Longtube headers, shorty headers don't do crap for these trucks. Custom tune, intake even the best ones out there are only good for about 5 REAL HP, so CAI is a really up to you if you want to spend on that. Also if you got the cash do a cam, you can get as much as 70 more HP just from cam alone.
-
All 5 of my AQ amps are bullet proof, ran my 3500d.1s down to .25 ohm and my 120.4 is loud as hell and clear with alot of mid bass power behind it. AQ amps you won't find a better amp for less money, lets put it that way.

Super tweets are sold in a pair you get two whether you want to or not lol.
-
Slot port would be easier IMO. Just close in port to adjust tuning, pretty simple.
-
Nice score for sure and me thinks he needs the new version xls.

D3400 underhood plus one in back or just one d3100 underhood if you can fit it.

Run a 300 or not one at all your choice.

thanks for all the tips, Does anyone happen to have the max cargo area specs of a 2000ish model tahoe?
I know for a wall at least 30+ cubes, plenty of room to do 4 18s with lots of port, batts, and amps for example.
-
GM only tony, suburban, Yukon, Tahoe, Denali, escalade. Any of those and get the 5.3 motor, it is a must. Also if you get a 2005+ model they will already have electric fans and take more stress off the alts.
-
its not about arguing if its a valid argument but if for example you ask if its ok to run your amps at .125 ohms and everyone tells you no and you say fuck you im doing it so and so doesw it without any issues we are going to have problems. no one has ever been banned for disagreeing with someone. There have been plenty banned for being an asshat.
Agreed, I have gotten in plenty of arguments with different people on here, just be civil and use some common sense. You can stand your ground and not be an idiot at the same time.

Min of 5-6 without knowing your alt situation.
