Yeah I would but Midwestspl and USACI frown on modding forward of b pillar ya know lol

Jon does spectrum work well on overhead surfaces like a roof? I have 8 layers of damp pro on my roof and think some spectrum would only further help, your thoughts?
Spectrum works on the roof, but adding it to 8 layers of Damp Pro really wouldn't have much benefit.
Okay then just have to live with the flex then I guess lol.

Hmmm, not sure how I feel about these just yet.....

.46 DB increase, is a HUGE increase at that SPL level. Different voice coil temps, or whatever is not going to make a .5 db diff. Maybe in a Extreme vehicle.
Cody, Every amp has a sweet spot, A spot the gain likes to be. Also try messing with the phase if your just running 1 amp, or 2 amps strapped. If your running more than 2 amps strapped dont because you wont be able to achieve the same phase on each master amp.
10 X LOG (.46/10) = 11% power difference. 11% power difference = 11% impedance difference. So from 1.00 ohm to 1.11 ohms. Totally possible with very little heat.
Math and SPL dont go hand and hand...If that so they you should be able to calculate scores...and you cant.
Well said....

Sell it or use it for a later project that results in selling it.

Wow u need some belt wrap or that some bitch is gonna squeal like hell.

most likely clam. dont think we can get it all on a flat wall. but you never knowWhat's the build plan str8 wall? Clam shell? Diamond? 4th order?
Nice!!! I like clams, especially bearded clams.
-
And just to add, there is a big jump in power going from 1 ohm down to .35 or lower. I gained exactly 3 db on my last wall going from 1 ohm down to .25 ohm on burp. Also doubled my power output clamped style, went from 5500 watts to 11k on two 3500D.1 AQ amps. And I have seen similiar gains from DC amps doing the same thing.

You have damp pro in b stock?
-
Andrew, arent you at finals? Shut up and get in the lanes lol
LMAO, I WISH F#$K!!!!!! I am stuck at work with no one to cover so I couldn't make it super sad face......

I didn't read all the comments but to the OP
At .35 nominal you can see normally 3x the rise for actual impedance to the amp, so you would be close to 1 ohm, now since you are wired so low, your damping factor is greatly reduced meaning your efficiency just went to shit lol. So after you consider efficiency which would be in the 70% range would be my guess. You should see close to rated, I would guess 7.5kW at 12 volts at .35 nominial ohm load. Just my 2 cents and this electrical engineer doesn't have any idea wtf he is talking about
LBOX88 you know better then to drop the magic smoke lol

Okay I watched your video, and I will try to be as nice as I can. First off, what voltage are you charging at. What causes a battery to swell? HEAT!!! What causes heat? The engine and overcharging.
And the one side that you need to block engine heat from you put nothing, why?
I will stop there.....

Generally it is the regulator when you have varying voltage like that with rev. Sounds to me like the mechanic possibly tried to rewire to get it to drop the alt code, which he should have left alone because that is normal to get an alt code logged when installing a VCM. It is a body code, which means it doesn't do shit, so doesn't affect anything. Most likely when rewiring the VCM he smoked the reg which isn't hard to do if you are ate up with the dumbass

Oh and port area is all fukkked up in that one too lol
-
way to small, that box is about right for 2 15s, not 4.
-
For daily in the right enclosure they can handle 2500 watts no problem, on burp double that.
-
The motor would start to diesel and the lights would start to pulse at idle. Basically indicating a bad or weak connection, it was the wire gauge.

250A+ alternator, ~300ah of battery (XS, Shuriken, Kinetik, Stinger)
Don't forget Batcap
-
You can get by with 10 gauge wire from local auto parts store if you keep it short like less then 3 feet. I just know alot of people use 8 gauge and I tried 12 gauge with mine and it didn't like that, but mine are also 6+ ft way too, so 8 gauge was a must plus I had a full 250' spool for my build.
-
Yes 1 ohm strapped is fine with proper electrical I listed above. I have strapped my 3500d.1s at .5 ohm (.25 ohm each) for burps no problem.

No mean to thread jack but how can there be a bad box design? I never realized that there were different box designs. I figured that there were different volumes and tunings and that was it. Just snooping around the forums for the best bang for a 1200 rms @2ohm with 4-4.5ish cubes. Dunno which brand to go with or size subs. (2x12 or 1x15) Was planning on using RE's box calc. Is that this "bad design" that Kingsuv talks about?
That is what he is referring to exactly, wrong tuning and wrong volume, wrong port area, making for a bad design.

You will be fine, two of those subs can handle that amp at .5 ohm daily just sayin.

Wow is all I could say when I saw this thing. In for testing and SPL numbers!!!!
