  1. I'm looking at both of these amps....they are both around the same power output and price...

but which would you chose...and why?

I don't have experience with these specific amps so could you guys lemme know what you like/dislike about each?

    I wanna know things like

    Actual power

    Power consumption

    Heat

    etc etc

    Powerbass - http://cgi.ebay.com/POWERBASS-ASA2200-1D-4...%3A1|240%3A1318

    Soundstream - http://cgi.ebay.com/Soundstream-PCA2000D-m...%3A1|240%3A1318

  2. i donno if this counts or not but my wall was tuned to 35 and peaked around 42 it played both the lows and 40-45hz range rather well it was well rounded and played what i threw at it good

hmm...im talking about the looooowww lows, though.

yer gonna tell huge dif being that low and going to that higher tuneage. ive always tuned to 30, 28, 29Hz i just love the low loooows i dont mean mini trucks. i had a box tuned to 35Hz once and never again!!! it hit pretty good but not like that rumbling thunder bass, it was louder like it was supposed to be. the higher tuneing isnt for me

yeah that's what i was thinking....if it is going to be a noticeable difference in the rumble, then i can't make the sacrifice

  3. ok....all of the boxes I have designed and built for my car has been tuned to at most 31 hertz.

and i have been impressed with all of them because of the crazy low end that i get.

but...i kinda want to try something new. i want to tune to about 35 hertz, but i have never tuned that high before. so before i go out and build a box and get disappointed, i just wanted to get you guys' opinions.

do you think i will sacrifice that low rumble by moving from 30 to 35 hertz?

the reason why i tune so low to begin with is because i use soundstream's bass machine...

just so you guys know, the subs are DC lvl 4 12s...with lvl 5 coils D1

    thanks

  4. Why is it missing 2 FETs from the power supply? I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be there seeing as the gate resistors are still there...

    Sorry man, looks patu.

lol patu? don't know what that means.

but i haven't tried the amp so i can't say if it works or not.

i'll let you guys know as soon as i try it out

  5. that second amp you posted looks like the kenwood from a couple years back. they have got to be a knock off company. I would say the max rating is 250x4 and they would be rated at 50x4 rms. so realistically 25 watts a channel.

It's actually the same amp....I just posted some shots of different angles
