Neel, I really like your wire-work...very neat. That autotek amp looks mm mm good
-
i donno if this counts or not but my wall was tuned to 35 and peaked around 42 it played both the lows and 40-45hz range rather well it was well rounded and played what i threw at it good
hmm...im talking about the looooowww lows, though.
yer gonna tell huge dif being that low and going to that higher tuneage. ive always tuned to 30, 28, 29Hz i just love the low loooows i dont mean mini trucks. i had a box tuned to 35Hz once and never again!!! it hit pretty good but not like that rumbling thunder bass, it was louder like it was supposed to be. the higher tuneing isnt for meyeah that's what i was thinking....if it is going to be a noticeable difference in the rumble, then i can't make the sacrifice
-
ok....all of the boxes I have designed and built for my car has been tuned to at most 31 hertz.
and i have been impressed with all of them because of the crazy low end that i get.
but...i kinda want to try something new. i want to tune to about 35 hertz, but i have never tuned that high before. so before i go out and build a box and get disappointed, i just wanted to get you guys' opinions.
do you think i will sacrifice that low rumble by moving from 30 to 35 hertz?
the reason why i tune so low to begin with is because i use soundstream's bass machine...
just so you guys know, the subs are DC lvl 4 12s...with lvl 5 coils D1
thanks

looks pretty good.....so i see powerbass made a believer out of you too! lol
-
as i've said before....that windshield flex gets me
-
Why is it missing 2 FETs from the power supply? I'm pretty sure they're supposed to be there seeing as the gate resistors are still there...
Sorry man, looks patu.
lol patu? don't know what that means.
but i haven't tried the amp so i can't say if it works or not.
i'll let you guys know as soon as i try it out
-
you better put some 2X4s or some all-thread in that box...and while you're at it get some dynamat cuz this is going to flex. lol
-
The Guts.....
-
Open it up so we can see what's its made of.
That's actually a good idea....I'll have pictures soon
-
I just noticed the fuses are missmatching, and probably rated to high, might want to swap those out for some 15 amps
yeah..that was one of the first things i noticed when i got the amp. i'll be sure to switch them out
-
that second amp you posted looks like the kenwood from a couple years back. they have got to be a knock off company. I would say the max rating is 250x4 and they would be rated at 50x4 rms. so realistically 25 watts a channel.
It's actually the same amp....I just posted some shots of different angles
-
Here are couple more pics....
-
looks like a visoniklooks like a 50x4 true power, USamps knock off, or visonik knock off
like Rockwood, or Kenford
You're right....kinda looks like a visionik
But why is there no info online? Is it German or something
-
I got this amp as a freebie when I bought something from ebay.
I can't seem to find any info online....anyone knows anything about this amp?
Actual RMS output, impedance stability etc etc....
Thanks....pics...

bass14 pm me...im interested in the battery. you know im serious
-
this i wanna see....say, what are the specs on the first box with the 4 12s?
-
sounds loud...real loud
-
^^^ yeah pics please...im interested
-
looking good....im becoming more and more attracted to those SXs
-
That looks like it moves some air. nice
-
really makes me wonder what my 1 12s will sound like once i get off my lazy culo and build a box for them
-
So Many Deebeez....lol I had to
-
Question Steve: Other than the top of the box (traced along the port path), do you use screws at all? Doesn't look like it
Just brads and glue? Can't remember if you talked about this in another post

I'm looking at both of these amps....they are both around the same power output and price...
but which would you chose...and why?
I don't have experience with these specific amps so could you guys lemme know what you like/dislike about each?
I wanna know things like
Actual power
Power consumption
Heat
