Okay ... so my current set-up is in my sig and it's very recent. After getting a M&H amp for those coaxials (all 4 in stock locations) I know that I will want more from about 200 Hz and up. So what are my options as far as some new speakers? I don't need SQ as much as just a clear loud front stage ... so like placement from kick panel to door doesn't matter that much, for example. A couple locations I thought of today were ... --> In the 2 cupholders (I NEVER use) in the center console [2 4" drivers?] --> In the space between shift lever and cigarette lighter You can see the two cup holders in between the shift knob and the center console space, and the other space is right in front of the shift knob. Keep in mind I CANNOT glass and am looking for some creative drop-in locations people use ... Thanks all! PS That is not my car but you get the idea ...

Components With Clear Highs And Thumping Lows!?
Bass4Lyfe replied to AlpineGuy87's topic in Mid's and highs
Coaxial speakers refer to the tweeter being mounted on top of the woofer, and component speakers are seperate. you usally get a higher price but a better sound quality out of components, and vice versa for coaxials. also, coaxials don't come with an external passive c/o, i use the one off my deck at 80 hz just so they don't try to play the lows -
yes, shyne, it's a 556uw. and thank you EVERYONE for your help on this. they seem pretty knowledgable to me and they say that they tried it 15 times before giving it back to me. i believe him. he DID mention something about the car recognizing two keys, so i'll just talk to him about it tommorrow. i'm gong in after school so we'll see! tahnks so much everyone! really appreciated

yes sir they did ask for a 2cd key to keep SOMEWHRE idk where they mounted everything .. but i gave them a 2cd master key so they could wire the remtoe start up ... and YES i'm happy i have the lifetime warranty theyr'e fixing it 2morow morning supposedly ... my cari s parked at a friends house because i couldnt start it to leave his house last night if i open the door with the key, do you think the alarm will go off??? and yes the remote start worked when i drove it off the lot ... THANK YOU so much guys, will try everything tommorow morning

So I got my alarm installed last night, and the thing isn't working. When I hit remote start it cranks but doesn't catch, 3 times, every time. When I simply unlock open the door and try to start the car manually (normally) it usually cranks and catches and goes up to its normal 900-1k RMP, then IMMEDIATLY dies. I'm thinking the alarm thinks there's an intruder or somethign?? Astra 4000RS-2W-1 by Scytek Thyanks guys ... help ASAP would be nice

great thank you so much guys i really appreciate it. i will talk to them about the pricing but my main concern was the fact tat it wasn't a really prevelent brand in my mind. but this is reassuring!! tahnks so much for the information this is the reason i'm on the fourm! thanks guys! just what i needed!

So I think the brand was Skytech or something to that sort. 2 Way LCD remote start, shock sensor, and optional proximity duel zone sensor. Installed for 550 he said he gave me a good deal and I believe him, been a customer there a long time. Most of you seen the pictures (more to come i promise!) of my audio setup i just put in (with the shops help on some parts) and was just wondering if you guys have reviews on this brand? i've been longing for an alarm system so i'm really happy! getting it installed this weekend so any advice would be great! thanks all!

wait by brake light cover you mean the 3rd brake light, the plastic piece with 4 clips on top of the rear deck right? the one people see when you hit the brakes. and i'm not sure what a sun shade is / if i have one? but nothing really llooks like it pulls out of my rear deck i've dynamated the bottom (sheet metal accessable in trunk) of rear deck but not the top cardboard cloth thing, and that SEEMS to be what is rattling but i reallly can't seem to pinpoint it any ideas, ARMY?

oh yeah? i'm located in Los Altos CA and am willing to drive at least 1-2 hours .... what kind of a deal can you do for me? whichever kinetik you and chevy and stuff thing is best ... I know close to nothing in the electrical area. edit: thanks for the props guys! its a messy 1st system that's always improving but sounds pretty good IMHO.

yeah i'm not sure i need a 2cd battery hahaha. but i'll look into a nice kinetik replacement, thanks chevy! slim: yeah i took it out once before to mount those new Alpine rear speakers ... it is a bitch it really is .. but it might be worth it. it's not the brake light that was my 1st concern! i held it down real firm and it still vibrated. .. i actually think its the entire deck hitting the metal sheet metal portion of the rear deck ... that means i gotta dynamat the cloth portion .. ugh ... dont wana take it out again!! i'm getting alarm next tho ... i know this is off topic SORRY but anyone know how much a remote start alarm costs installed, about? thx!!!
