Depending on the size of the stock alt you might be fine with stock. What size alternator and battery are stock?
What's a proper amperage alt to run this with a single battery up front?
If your stock alt is over 100 amps and you do the big three you would probably be fine. If you're dropping a little low upgrade your stock battery to the biggest XS battery possible.
If your stock alternator is tiny it might just be better to get a 150a-175a alternator from Mechman or Singer.
Stock 90a alt. VW makes a 120a one for their VR6 engines that are compatible, simple swap onto the 1.8t engine currently in the vehicle. XS calls for the D4700 I can fit in the vehicle under the hood.

Alpine PDXV9. 500w to the subwoofer channel, and 100w to 4 channels. This is a 5 channel amplifier. You can use those 4 channels for the future if you plan on ever upgrading the door speakers. Doubling the power to 1000w on the sub will give a few extra db but at the cost of electrical demand. 500w in a vehicle is plenty. Light weight and size appropriate. I run this with an SA12 and a Alpine Type R 8 throughout my moods.

I had a shop build me an enclosure that I asked for. 1.75 cubes tuned to 35hz. I have no idea if it's correct but he wrote everything down on paper and most likely is correct. The previous enclosure for that was made by someone local who I bought some equipment from which came out to 2.3x cubes tuned to 30hz or so. Again, not sure as I don't know how to find out the specs as I'm a noob with enclosures. The shop's box came out way too peaky. It played louder but I don't get that rumble feel as I did with the box tuned to 30hz.
I have googled around and did a bit of e-search and entered the subwoofer parameters into WinISD. It plots out the following recommended enclosure to make. 1.731 cubes tuned to 26hz. This is a lot flatter and seems to roll off around that tuning. Does this mean most frequencies will play relatively flat with no peaks? On top of that, would lower frequencies play louder too since the bass rolls off farther down the frequencies? I may actually prefer the lower bass notes than the higher ones as they don't hurt my ears, and would give better back massages lol.
What's the difference between building this WinISD enclosure compared to the shop's box that's close to the recommended specs off the Sundown website?
My goal is to pick up lower frequencies better and not have a boomy sound. Would building the WinISD enclosure be for me? That's for me to judge obviously but maybe someone else here has been in this same situation that give lend me a reply.

Do you have Arma 3 or DayZ standalone by chance? I'd seriously like to know what your fps is like in cities with at least 40 or more people in the server.

Damn, those monitors have a very thick grainy matte filter over them. How's the contrast compared to your previous samsungs?

Why would someone go with a name that's related to crackers?

Why not just call them again?
They're on a 30 minute break.

I ordered some headphones on the 16th. On the 18th I had to call to confirm my address... Today is the 19th and still says processing from yesterday after the change which has been 25 hours now. I was hoping to get these headphones by saturday as I selected Priority shipping and I only live 60 miles away or so. Hopefully they ship out today. Yesterday the phone rep said they wouldn't ship out yesterday because all shipments went out for the day....... At 1pm PST on a Thursday...

I'd glad I held out on getting a DD1. With new speakers, I'm definitely going to look forward to the price point on it. Hopefully it's no more than $100.

Oh gawd, please continue to make the all black motor.

Nice to see some deals like this. Especially before black Friday.

Haha great. I immediately thought about Nate as well when I seen the picture.

It's happened to me a few times. Completely for a few hours yesterday around this same time.

Amp clamps, a video of a termlab with the same subwoofer or subwoofers but in different enclosures like slot ported, aero ported, sealed, and different layout of the box as in sub up port back, sub back port back, sub back port side and so on. Would be nice to do the same with different vehicles too, hatchbacks, trunks, wagons, trucks, that way people can know where to start on a box design for their specific vehicle. Also put the port of the box 4 inches or so away from the firing wall, and again with the box all the way to the seats to see if there is an increase in spl on the meter. Removing headrests, putting sun visors down, and all that. Do a mythbusters of car audio type of thing too.
Also, have different subs in recommended enclosures to their specs and termlab them with the same vehicle and see what beats what. For instance, a Sundown sub vs a Kicker, or a DC sub vs an Obsidian sub. Or a Kicker vs a Type R.

Think about it for a second. Why do you use surround sound? In a large room right? I never understood the concept of surround sound in headphones when the speakers are half and inch away from your ears. Why are you going with SS headphones rather than a good pair of headphones like HD558 for the same price, if not cheaper.

Should I buy the 1200.1 and sell my AQ750? :\ Thinking so.

You should frame/case it and hang it up on a wall. That'd be great.
New XS Power customer. Resting voltage 12.84. Do I need to charge it?
in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)

I don't have a charger and didn't know until now that I needed to charge it. Being Crucial on the paper seems important but says you can use it if it's above 12.6v. Hmm.
