Where can I get LONG ones? Specifically say 12" I dont know if there is ones that are just like "flat" on top or if you can only get the rounded top ones. But I heard that the flared ports can possibly change tuning. I need twelve 2" x 12" ports. I was going to just use PVC if I had to. But I figured I might be able to find something professional that would look better since im not 100% up with all box building.

of course your knu 8 is huge, that stuff is GREAT wire, but you get what you pay for. Youd be fine to use the 8 for that 4channel amp. It actually would probably be fine. Just fuse it!

Well, Idk man. I charged it for a few more hours on a regulated charger so it ended up charging it at like 5amps for a few hours. I took it off after about 3 hours and it was resting at 13.5 Hope thats not bad. LOL.

Yeah man it was really strange, I felt I wasn't getting the power I could on my trip home from work today which was only 15 minute drive, so the battery didn't drain much. But i checked it with my DMM and it read 8.6 so I was like WTF?! I ripped it out, took it to the shop and checked it again and it read 12.4 and I checked it with another DMM and it read 12.7 this was before i threw it on the charger. ( I must have checked the voltage and slipped off a lead when I measured in the car ) So I dropped it on a 10 amp 13v charge for eh id say about 5 or 6 hours I think I took it off at about 9 and started around 3:30 I think give and take some. Either way when I took it off at 9ish it was resting at 12.6-12.7 which I believe is damn good! I am gonna check it again in the morning, I was just going to let it sit out of the car on the test bench ( not charging ) over night, and if its still at 12.7 I will throw it back in my car and start bumping again! Hope all is well. Must have been a fluke. Appreciate the reply! Will keep you updated in the morning.

Hey guys, So I ended up having some issues with my D6500 second battery it wasn't getting charged as I had thought, It was only maybe used for 30 minutes or so without being charges, but it was taking around 2000 for that 30 minutes. I need to charge the battery because the voltage was critically low. And I do not have an AGM battery charger. My buddy said throw it on a regular battery charger for a few hours and then take it off. So I put it on my battery charger and its been going for maybe 3 or 4 hours at 10amps and It should be about 14 volts I will go check it in a few with my multimeter. Just wondering what I should do from here. I took it off the charger about 15 minutes ago to check its voltage and it read 12.5 Should I leave it charging at 10amps? The charger is a smart charger so when it sees a full charge it automatically decreases the amps down to a 1amp trickle charge. But still just looking to get some quick answers hopefully I didn't mess the battery up D:?

My understanding is stock=power windows but guy before him decided to put hand crank windows. I agree with you, in that case he should just be able to hell practically snap out the handle, and fiberglass or bondo over the hole, and clean it up a little. Although it is usually pretty hard to match stock interior to a tee. But if he really cared about a small hole that you probably cant see, I suppose he could hit up a junkyard and for 50$ have two new door panels?

Without pictures its really hard to understand what your saying, but typically manual door handles are only a small 1/2" dowel going through the door panel. It sounds like your trying to chop them off, not sure why, don't you wanna roll down the windows? Unless you plan on doing power windows then you can just flush mount a switch into your arm rest. Maybe a little more information we could better assist you.

I can tell you this. I got the same amp. From a previous install with my old Soundstream EGA1700D which had FIVE 30amp fuses. I had a 150amp fuse on my 1/0 from the battery to the AMP. I didnt bother changing the fuse out of pure laziness ( probably a pretty bad idea ) but with this amp being a 5500 so claimed watt amp, and my soundstream ega actually putting out rated RMS. This amp is not even pulling 150amps from my battery... Hmmm....Something to ponder I suppose. **I did cheap on on the amp though, but hey, lets hope it lasts till I earn up some more dough to buy me something better.** Sounds good as hell on my 4 10"s with no clipping... So im not bitchen.

if your still looking PM me. I have a Soundstream EGA1700D I got it from a trade the guy said it worked fine, but it came with no fuses. (stupid me) Anyways, I put some fuses in it, and then turned it on, and blam blew the fuses, checked for shorts and the obvious, tried it one last time, blew 5 more. From experience this seems like an internal mosfet or transistor issue. But hell if I know.. Give me an offer, and include some money for shipping and its yours. I got no use for it.

I am going to have to closely examine the tinsel lead. Its about 2am over on the East cost in florida at a chilling (to me at least) 33degrees. Its too cold for my Florida blood to go back out to the car, worked from about 6pm-12pm in the damn cold weather. Not fun! LOL. I was going to run up the sub to a shop about 20 minutes from me and see if they can have a look at it. The subs are Memphis Mojo M3 10"s , the old orange basket model with the red, blue, and yellow emblem/dustcap. So theyre an older sub, but I prefer them over the newer memphis. But I think If i need a recone kit it will be hard to find, because i need the original to match the other 3 subs! Hopefuly it is just resoldering the tinsel... But to @DWZ that sucks man, luckily I didnt burn it up myself, must have came this way when I bought them a few months ago. Just now had time to install them replacing the kicker Comp 10"s. We will see what the shop says tommorow... Hope its a simple, inexpensive fix. If not. Might have to reconsider a whole new system

I was installing 4 DVC 4 OHM Subs, I got a off reading of 8ohm at the end of the speaker wire. I started measuring the OHMs reading on them. I am getting a solid 4ohm reading from one of the voice coils, but for the other voice coil im getting NOTHING. It shows no connectivity. ANY IDEAS? I would think with a blown voice coil/sub i would be getting atleast something? New Voice Coil?

Basically a friend gave me a bass knob for my Soundstream EGA1700D. I am pretty sure its not the right one, I Havnt installed my system yet, but in the manual for the amp it says it needs the EGA-RM bass remote. Ive looked everywhere for it but couldnt find it without buying a new amp. ( mine didnt come with one ) I was seeing if anyone knew what type of cable it was for this type of amp. Its not a standard phone line, its SKINNIER as well as TALLER than a regular phone cable. Its not ethernet or anything common that ive seen lately ( and I work with computers and such daily ) So if anyone knows what this is let me know Id appreciate it... ORRR I know this isnt the right section, but if someone happen to have the ACTUAL EGA-RM bass knob *INCLUDING THE WIRE* I would be willing to take it off your hands. But the catch is I need it by CHRISTMAS, Im in Florida! THANKS!

Hey there Nathan - You told me I would be able to have a D6500 which would give me more power and reserve than the HC2000 by Kinetik which i planned to get. But now that you have a 15% discount i saw on the first page it had the prices, the D6500 was $289 is that before the 15% discount or is that with the discount? I wasnt sure when you updated it. If that is before the 15% discount then i was thinking the price for the D6500 would be $245 So my next question, is that $245 shipped?
