A battery isolator if you just want the one battery on the monoblock. Parallel if not.

what kind of battery(ies) do you have now? whats your budget? is the big three done?

capacitors do more harm than good.
do the big 3 upgrade first and if that doesn't help get a small XS battery for the trunk or a big XS battery for the front in place of the stock battery

battery for sure. capacitors are crap. I had a cap until i got my D3100. lights still dimmed.. voltage still sucked..

I got my samples today and wow the foil is alot thinker on alpha damp than damp pro.
question tho. would it be ok to deaden my roof with alpha damp and use damp pro everywhere else?

I use kicker hyper flex. Its real easy to work with and extremely flexible.

How does this compare to damplifier pro? I'm trying to decide on what to get for my hummer h3.

get your resting voltage up. thats not good. 12.8 or higher.
ok. the battery is old so ill just replace it with an XS power and probably put a small XS (D975) in the back

whats your battery resting voltage you may have a bad cell.
12.55v.. its only an optima yellow top so maybe.

anyone? I'm going to be upgrading my big 3 to 0 gauge probably this weekend. I would like some more opinions before I spend the money on an alt.

its a 2006 hummer h3. alt is 100 amps i think. im running about 1100 watts rms (amp + hu) at 1 ohm
it usually drops to the mid 11s and a few times the entire stereo cut off for a few seconds
edit: man I cant type today =(

my voltage is randomly dropping while driving. I usually play my system at about half volume.
big 3 is done in 4 gauge.. I didn't have any 0 gauge at the time. I do plan on upgrading to 0 gauge
alternator is stock
the only battery I have is an optima yellow top under the hood
my question is, should I get a bigger alternator or another battery?
Ideally I would get 2 XS D3100s and a 325 amp singer alternator but money is an issue.

Thanks. Yeah the port is a little small. Its a small box! According to Chris Torres' calculator its enough. Any bigger and it would be tuned to high for my liking.

Would you hook the battery up to the alternator or would you just have it in the vehicle hooked up to the amp?
