  1. I was driving my moms car today.... 08 Dodge charger and i turned the bass up and it made the rear view shake with just stock speakers

Well when i was driving the girls car I turned the bass up a shit ton on Psyph morrison dope and i can only get maybe a quarter inch of the rear view mirror shake... almost as same as the charger... When i have an FI SSD ported on a 1000 wrms it disappoints me..

Does anyone else on the forum have trouble with the mustangs (05-09) with flex of the rearview. Some kid told me my sub sucks cuz it didnt shake the mirror...

Does any other people have trouble with flex in their mustang?

tell that kid i called him retarded. because thats just plain ignorant.

cars are all built different. and rear view mirrors are mounted different in some cases. it really shouldnt matter weather or not it shakes. it depends if its loud and clear. flex=bad.

  3. JVC makes some neat stuff.

2 volt pre outs arent that bad in reference to alpines. Only thing i dont like about the 9886 is that the ipod function is slow.

they say 2 volt pre out but its really around 1 - 1.5

i had a jvc before. i upgraded to a bran new 4 volt kenwood. made a night and day difference.

Yeah actually the new Kenwood Excelon for $179 was my first choice. Heard mixed reviews on it but most were good. So the sound quality on the Kenwood was that much better than the JVC?

    yes

  6. As far as looking bad... if it is done tastefully, it will look real good. I have people tell me franky looks ghetto... I have seen thousands of installs with the same subs that look way more ghetto than it does... I am a strong believer in finishing cabinets and running wires neatly...

im talking about mixing fi with plye or kenwood with jl. it just looks like shit. IMO

Mixing an FI sub with a Pyle sub is like mixing a King with a Challenged peasant....

    Thats a disgrace LOL <_<

    HAHAHAHA!!!!

no way in hell that looks bad, thats a great setup.

The only thing that bothers me about that is the light grey carpet.. I ran out of dk grey... (I had to make adapter to swap from XXX 18's to FI then to the TFS subs... (did not feel like redoing the entire setup..)

OP... on this truck, the 2 18's are in their own chambers on their own amps and the 15's share a chamber and are both on the same amp...

oh yea ive seen some videos, i personally like it just because it has character and its different but still pounds like no other.

  9. This is all about Flex and recording it!The good ...the bad....the ugly...lol.... Long video....but watch ...you won't be sorry!

The Best Flex is around 5:15 in my opinion..

i recently posted a thread asking about your port and how close it is to your hatch, does it need space for air to flow or does it not matter? from what i saw it looked like there wasnt much room between the port and hatch.

Yeah man it's not good...lol...Just waiting to build a new box (laziness) But yeah.....it's WAY too close!

    wall? :D lol
