  2. Back at the end of September DBDRA announced the finalization of their Cali location for World Finals. As some of you know and some may not Team Bassick was very involved in dB Drag and anything that had to do with competing in Car Audio. Unfortunately, over the years priorities have changed, as well as the sport itself. However, our passion for it has not and with a Cali location well why not try this one last time. With the few active and non-active members left we voted on building a team vehicle and make a run at it.

    Team Bassick

It was a hell Mary pass that we orchestrated in the 4th quarter of the year and we went from 0 points, at the beginning of October, to finish with two weeks left, and over 75 points in both db drag and bass race. I am proud to say, like Bud Light "Here We Go!!!" We are looking forward to this and we are going to spend the remainder of the winter building the vehicle. Sorry no build log on this one, we're old school when it comes to competition. Feel free to come and check it out at World Finals March 24 & 25 @ Lake Perris Cali.

  3. I don't know what the point of this thread is? Wether or not to a 3-way or not? You luckily have a stock 3-way to start from which is great but, it doesn't sound like you have the knowledge to appreciate it. In that case stick with whatever you want.

Active and Passive is like day and night and to take a  attitude towards that seems pointless to discuss anything else you in depth.

I Completely agree, don't toss around the SQ term around like it is just an accessory to your car audio system. SPL only covers 15% of the whole sound spectrum (80hz and below) as SQ covers the full spectrum including the "SPL" range.

  4. I sold off my DC 15" XL's and cleaned up some space and made some money. Taking a look at my garage I really need to clean more space. I hope to update this for sale section until I have sold off all the car audio gear. ALL PRICES INCLUDE SHIPPING TO THE 50 U.S. STATES. If the pictures are still up that means the item is still for sale. If, the item is sold I will delete the pics and put sold next to the item. Lets get this section started with:

    JL Audio XR525 coaxial's $175.00

  5. Hi Everyone,

Thanks for your interest in competing in IASCA competition if we can coordinate the IASCA North American Championships in satellite locations with dBDRA Finals.

I hope this post will answer some of your questions...

To "Watch the Bass"... you'll note that IASCA calls it the IASCA North American Championships (INAC) and not the World Finals, because we realize that the event doesn't give all competitors around the world the chance to prove who the true "World Champion" is. We have been working on an event series for about 4 years now called the "World Championship Series" that we hope to have in place in the next 12 months. We haven't forgotten about all of our global members and want to give you as much recognition as our North American members.

To "sacking916"... as Jeremy Weber said, we have a new IASCA Director in the Southwest; Mike Jaffe. Mike is working hard to get IASCA events going in many SW States, including CA, NV, AZ, NM, CO, TX and UT. If you know of any shops that would like to host an IASCA event in California, please have them contact Mike at [email protected].

To "Team Bassick - Kimo"... we would love to have SQ at the shows as well, but naturally we can't include SQ in INAC because of the judging logistics... hard for one judge to be at all 3 locations at the same time. But, I know Mike Jaffe is willing to work with any SQ judges who want to help out and host SQ events at his shows. He wants to bring SQ to the West Coast as much as we want to! If West Coast SQ competitors are willing to commit to supporting an SQ event at these shows, please have them contact us and let us know, and we'll do everything we can to make it happen.

Luke, thank you so much for your hard work and support, and for posting on so many forums.

If anyone has any other questions, you can reach me by email at [email protected]. I always answer my emails within 24 to 48 hours, unless I'm out of the country on IASCA business.

    Thanks again,

    Moe Sabourin,

    Director of Worldwide Operations,

    IASCA Worldwide Inc.

Moe Thanks for jumping in and clearing some of this up.

I would just like to see a well rounded finals is all. IASCA doesn't need to have its sq "finals" at each location but, at least have a 3x or 2x event. I went through the IASCA judge training two years ago and I know there are more than a few people here in Cali that qualify to judge SQ. Am I going to compete in SQ at finals, probably not but, this is just to have a well rounded car audio event.
