We have found that going active and using the 3500 crossover point works quite well. The interaction in the passive crossover seems to cause the most trouble.
It certainly won’t hurt to try crossover points all the way up to 6K.
-
yep, sounds like too much pwoer, to the crossover.
-
-
they're out.....dealers should have them.
-
bass boost off, SSF can't be adjusted, you mean crossover?
so you like it, they gave you a free upgrade to an 08, and you still plan to sell it?
-
try backing the gains down to say 10, and try it.
-
nowdays, EVERYTHING has a copy....not just car audio.
We have the ribbed corners patent, they came up with another plan to make it work...IF it does, I'll leave that for you all to decide.

LOL Dealers, I work at a dealer doing installations... No I am not going to keep that amp, I am getting a Bigger, Better Hifonics BXi2008D
2000 watts RMS, 4000 watts max... Should be perfect match.
I'm just saying that sub had something wrong with it the first day I turned it on it stunk really bad, and the gains were adjusted with a multimeter... Now PoleCat, you can't say kicker has never made a subwoofer with a flaw, I think I just got a bad one, But that L7 didn't hit hard enough for me.
no, I can't say that, and will not...man made, but that beefy Pioneer is man made too, so if it blows, will you blame Pioneer? If you have a flat, will you blame Goodyear?
Good luck with your next install.

the sad thing, is I bet we DO warranty it.
-
Hmm, this is getting confusing. I think I will try to track down where the box came from and get the specs that way..I suck at math..
they make things called calculators
-
in all honesty korndog, buying that woofer, that is 2500 watts RMS and 6000 watts max, with a ZX750.1 that does what, 900 watts, is REALLY mis-matched.........this is why there are dealers, to help educate proper buying practices.

i love it when people act that way. hear it every day at circuit city. I don't want a gateway give me an hp. I don't want an hp give me a toshiba.
So if that pioneer blows are you going say no more pioneer? You are going to run out of brands soon
we make speakers for the common man, but we can't make them error/user proof.
-
whom hooked it up?
what size power wire is it? what was/is voltage?
how is ground setup?
where is it mounted?
-
tuned kinda high, did you have the SSF on?
-
well db-r does 90day warranty, usually $60-120 to fix class d amps, idk about kickers price, im guessing 100ish
sounds like ur burnt up your power supply and some mosfets maybe
either kicker or db-r but i bet db-r will be faster than kicker, and chris is the guru of fixin amps/radios
like I posted above, i've seen them repaired for around $65, we warranty our repair for 1 year. And our turn around is usually 48 hours.
-
very nice!
I work for Kicker, have a Yukon....and you have inspired me
-
or you can call us...Kicker does repairs, even if it's out of warranty...depending on what is wrong, I've seen most for $50-$65....
-
ditto, what he said ^^^^
-
thats why i dont run kicker subs anymore.
so they make amps and woofers that will never, ever blow???.....wow, never seen them before....
-
bass boost= devil, don't know why it's on there, and ported box? SSF on? what was voltage? final impedance?
-
then it was clipped....
-
I think we'd have to order more, or warranty these out
-
you won't hear me say they suck, as I hate to bad mouth ther manfactures, even tho they obviously never have issues with it....to all others. Draw your own conclusions
-
yea, but there were C series, Freeair, 4 ohm, 8 ohm, and many years...
