  1. Hey Steve, How much and where can I get enough resin and fleece to do a box about that same size?
  2. Yep he just set an email and said that the 18ft3 was right (net volume)
  3. Sooooo Im guessing I was bout right in doing it like I had it the first time. I sent him another email so Imma see what he says, but I still have the old mail and he said that it should be 7ft3 "after" port and speaker displacement. But anyhow, so either way I face those ports it would be fine? I want the most sound possible
  4. I think I am a lil confused. He told me 7ft3 each with 100sq" of port each. So if I do it subtracting the displacement I would get......14ft3 "minus" speaker and port=10ft3/5ft3 each does that sound about right?
  5. On that note I just saw Meade's first box with 2 MTs and his was 20ft3 and that was before the displacent was added so I know it had to be about 22 or 23ft3
  6. for the 18 with all the ugrades he said I could go as low as 5cubed each but he said I would really really see em get nasty in 7cubed each. 2 with the ports and speaker displacement adds up to 18ft3 for both combined. which would be 9cubed each. I thought it was kinda big too considering I could fit 4 15btls in that same enclosure but dats what he gave me.
  7. No that with the speaker displacement and port included....without its like 14ft3.
  8. Ok heres what Im going to run in a 98 Tahoe (daily driver setup). (2) BTL 18's with all the upgrades, (2) sets of Rainbow SLC kick 6.5" comps, (4) Rainbow SLC kick 6.5" mids, (1) Kenwood Kvt 7" indash, (3) 9" flip-down monitors for rear passengers, (1) 17" flip-down monitor for the people riding behind me, and a playstaion. Plus other accesories like hyper white lights and heat and a/c. So here comes the good stuff (2) Autotek MM4000.1D amps for the subs and (2) Autotek MM125.2D amps for the mids that will give me about 90rms to each speaker and 4k to each sub. The fuses on the amps add up to about (4) 200amp fuses + (2) 60 amp fuses=920 amps of fuses for the amps. Ok! all that said; I wanted to go with a Iraggi alt with a Xstatic Model 800 battery under the hood and (3) Xstatic Model 2000 batteries in the trunk. (3) runs of posititve Knukoncepts 2 guage wire(its really 1 guage) with (3) 300amp fuses and (3) runs of negative from the front to the rear. Do you all think thats enuf juice to run all that just riding around town and on the highway? Im not competing just a round town ground pounder. Oh b4 somebody says it cuz I already know its comming Im dynospraying all the panels. 400sq ft of stick and peel mat (a layer on the floor, a layer on the doors up front, 3 layers on the roof and 3 and whatever is left over on the rear door)
  9. In a 98 Tahoe I plan on going with (2) BTL 18's the dual 1ohms with all the upgrades and (2) Autotek MM4000.1D amps. For a daily driver I was told to do an enclosure that is 18ft3 that has 200sq" of port tuning it to 33hz (really 14ft3 but after port and speaker displacement its 18ft3). Im going to do 2 seperate chambers with 100sq" of port each to help with bracing and sound quality. So it will be 2 ports actually. I'll more than likely face the subs upwards but I dont know if I should face the ports up as well or face the ports backwards towards the rear door. Any suggestions on which way?
