My jeep always drop to the 12v on the dash meter but measure out from the battery it reads 14v but after awhile it jumps to 14v and sits back down to 13.5v
I dont put to much stake in the accuracy of the factory Jeep volt meter...typically in a car the volt meter is not intended to be an exact measuring device..more like just an indicator if things are within acceptable ranges... my factory volt meter doesnt even twitch at all as long as my voltage is above 12.9 and below 15..as long as its in that range my gauge itself hovers right on 14... I trust my digital read out much more.

My guess is your ground, make sure the ground on the battery it's self isn't loose
I hate being a dumbass. I just checked out my new grounds I made and One of them is jiggly in its ring terminal..guess I didnt crank vice down as tight as I thought I did... imma buy me a torch and some new ring terminals this weekend and re solder every single terminal ive done...f this crimping shit. If bossman is cool with it, im gonna pull that cable and re crimp it for now to see if that cures anything. thanks guys..Ill post results shortly..... yall are awesome. Theres gonna be a free beer cooler for some of you guys when I get this meet ironed out..
crimp and solder, use 40/60 rosin core.
Thats this weekends project...gonna re do every ring terminal on this muh fukkah so this wont be an issue again.

It is possible that one of your batteries is bad and that would kill your original alt.
So... i was thinkin to myself the other day... and I made a decision for you CJ..... only thing left for you to do is drive..... you are gonna come to Ohio for my big meet n greet so I can hear that monster... I need to get my wig blown back hardcore...lol.

Thanks for all the immediate help guys! thats why I love this place....lots of good people here, hence why I wanna throw my meet soon...
Anyways, problem solved, had a shitty crimp on a ground wire, and also somehow my run of 0ga to my kinetic had loosened up in the fuse holder and pulled partway out..... I re crimped the ground wire, and reinserted and tightened the ever living shit out of the bolts on the fuse holder... voltage is back to 14.4 cold, 14.0 to 14.2 warmed up...and now doesnt drop below 13.4 playing full tilt for the duration of an entire loud low song..... thats for helping me out guys... sometimes when shit like this goes down, I get all flustered and try to rush and over look the simple shit.... ya'll are awesome.

Nothing seems like it is getting hot. Everything has a secure connection as well, all my ring terminals are crimped, not soldered... but they were crimped tight as hell in a large vice. Ill dbl check though to make sure... My in dash volt meter reads as though everything is normal, my scorpion that is wired to rear kinetik is showing the 12.9 and dropping voltage... and like I mentioned above, this never happened with the stock wiring so Im guessing I f'd something up or is it likely the optima died and the kinetik is now doing all the work? I hate this shit..kinda wish I would just left it alone...then this prob wouldnt be an issue...damn it.

So here's the deal: Finally got around to finishing my big 3 upgrade on Sunday.... yesterday on my way to work, I was pounding down the highway when I realized my voltage was getting low, down to like 12.2 or so...so I killed the system, and I reached back and flipped the breaker I run on the big amp off, and pretty much turned everything off...voltage came up some but wouldnt go above about 12.9v or so.... So I let it sit, I left work, voltage started off appearing normal, but then soon dropped to below 12.9v, even with everything electrical turned off and the Jeep running... So I stopped at the parts store and grabbed a fresh stock replacement to throw in last night( did this as opposed to buying a beefy alt because jeep is getting sold soon, and my job has a discount and charge account at this parts store.)... So I get home, put in new alt...and fire jeep up for a minute..the voltage climbed up to 14.4 while it was cold then dropped to high 13s at idle, which is what it has always done... So this morning on my way to work, everything seemed normal, until I started to bump the sub hard.... right away my voltage drops down to high twelves and slowly drops from there... So I let the jeep sit for a bit, went out and just started it again, voltage went up to 14.2 and stayed there for a second..and as soon as I start to beat on the sub it drops out to the high 12s again and continues to slowly drop. So real quick I turned jeep off, and then immediately restarted it, voltage wouldnt rise above 13.1v now....
So can anyone tell me whats going on? never had this problem before with stock wiring... Just started after i did my big three, and Ill admit I made a boo boo while doing my big 3, didnt real one of the run was still connected to the optima and I did short it out for a split second ( sparks are pretty), did/would that kill a batt?
Jeep has stock 117amp alt, an optima redtop under the hood, big 3 done with 0ga, 250a fuse on run of 0ga to kinetik hc2400 mounted out back, both amps draw directly from kinetik... It basically acted the same with the old alternator yesterday, as it is doing today with new alt... so i dont think its that... Is one of my batteries dead or dying? I dont have a voltmeter at work to check anything, but I can once I get home... Any thoughts on where to look first?

how 'bout man titties? you can touch mine....
5 bucks a boob, per squeeze. Gotta come up with money for a bigger amp somehow...
I love me some nice, rotund man tities. Mmmmmmmm....got 40 bucks.
And broseph, sometimes there aren't any women around to take care of Henry when he comes to visit. That's where Ms. Right comes in. And the internet.
LMAO.... that'll get you 4 squeezes per man boob...sweet my big amp fund is starting...woot.

American Bass vfl 100.1 or the DB Drive a71100.1 both will run .5 ohm all day
And you know where to buy those amps for 200 bux? ( which is what OP listed as his budget.) Didn't think so.

dont have to worry 'bout it in my case... Im way past school age, and boobies are a plus at my job... lookin at fine jumblies with my boss can get me outta hours of work.

That seems to be the popular opinion across the forums. I think I will start with just 4 12" in the hatch for the time being. Still gotta haul my little girl around in this ride for a bit. As for what I'm doing, I'm gonna run 4 LVL 3 DC Audio 12" for now and 1 DC Audio 5K. Been playing around with the DC Gear alot lately and really liking it.
Sounds like a good plan...4 12s off a 5k should be plenty nasty in that little SUV..... once you get it going make a build log...Love seeing another jeep become a slammer....

that little sundown was a champion...didnt wanna go without a fight...

Id start over as well.... box fits kinda shitty, looks like it is for another vehicle and looks like it doesnt leave you for any room for the rest of your gear..... the box itself looks pretty damned awesome though...just not right for this application.

Looks like it's advertising / self-promoting. Which is still bad.
If this is gonna be a legit format, how else can dude get the word out quickly? I personally dont see anything wrong with this...

only thing this fat sack of shit ever defended was a chicken mcnugget.... look at the rest of fatty's videos..more of the same... he thinks he is making some meaningful point about our government, when in reality all he is doing is lining people up to kick his ass. I can promise you, he mustve scored so low on the asfab, or had a poor experience of some sort..his jealousy is a little more than obvious... if i were to find this fat fuck on my own id beat his ass and knock them crooked as fuck coke bottle lenses str8 off his big old honey dew melon head....i too have issues with our gov't and its policies, but I take no issues with our troops, they follow orders and do as they are told..nothing more. He needs to have his problem with the shot callers, not the grunts. I love he thinks he is sticking to the gov't when in reality he isnt sticking it to anyone other than his fellow citizens.... fall on a knife fatty.

Aq amps love FI subs and vice versa
Speaking from experience?

There are several box designers on here that can help you out for a small price....typically people dont wanna do free work for someone else man.... Check out Ray, Ram Designs, 412CVX...any of them could help you out..although you could also just keep doing more research, download the torres Calc... and get to it.

Sealed? If I were mainly worried about playing rock, thats the route i'd look into.
-
I usually try to sniff up all of my fart stink so no one else is subjected to the torture.
Sometimes in rush hour traffic I get angry and tea bag my fur covered arm rest.
-
Not a bad score from my limited experience...but those sealed boxes are probably hurting you alot... I just did a 141.8 with less cone area (one 18 and its tuned loww to boot) and a significantly less power( just abt 1k rms)....I bet youd get a great gain if you were to build a new ported box
-
Is that site legit? The thing im worried about is not having enough surface area to do anything, because the car is so big.
What? Just cause the truck is big doesnt mean it has to have a huge su to make noise... a good 12 or 15 on the right power in a good box will hit just fine in there..
-
subs up port back.
or, if you want to get creative, face them down (need space under the box and an angle is a good idea like a clamshell) with port back.
Miss the "Sealed" box part he put in there?

Possibly ignition related...def check coil packs and plugs. Have coils tested and if youre gonna go thru the effort of pulling the plug, might as well just throw a new set in regardless... its cheap insurance. Pull the plugs and post a screen shot of them... might get an idea of whats going on in there from how the plugs look.
