My car before and after FYI did a 13.9 in the 1/4 this was with the meagsquirt tuning it slef in e very safe & running rich mode I ran E-85 too False floor Apil pics (late snow) was about 40 out i had just gotten the car a few weeks eariler after.. Hmm my meagsquirt was in there somewhere... Total loss whole body of the car is tweaked look at the trunks body gap.
  2. Will first off a lil back story, This is not my car, This is not my shop, I do not have a shop, and I like to call myself an installer. What this is will My work. I'm not really sure if this counts, But I did have a system in my car, I did have a car, and I HAD alot of work into it not just sound related. Will first of the reason I no longer have my car was in part due to this car, if you have figured it out yet, I travel to most people and install, I had been working with this guy for awhile for some system ideas, But none the less we agreed on a simple front stage and rear subs, he didn't believe me @ first that it could sound as good and better than the current stock setup. But I told hey Have a lil blind trust and he agreed. Okay second week of august came around, and my phone took a shit... will no biggie I have a cool pre-paid company I called them up described, what happened and they said send us your phone and we will send you a replacement. Now mind you, me and tom (the cars owner) had placed an order on Thursday for all the parts. Will for most of the week I had no phone and to be honest I go to school every day @ uti in Glendale heights, IL combine this with job searching I was just Really busy, In any case on august 13 (yeah thats a Friday ), I decide to just stop by the shop (there is always someone there) so I can do a quick inventory on the parts, which was fine because the shop was in palatine, IL and was on the way to school it was just sort of the back way. Will Im on Quentin road, The shop is located down West wood street Now mind you I had been here at least three four times before, the intersection sucks, for those of you that have ever traveled on Quentin you know how hilly this road is.... But back to the intersection of Quentin & wood it's at the top of a hill crest etc... Now it's not totally blind but you can only see back about 75 feet or so than it drops off and u can't see after that. it's two lanes and the speed limit is 45 but everyone speeds, now in lane one there are cars facing me turning left first one was a Silverado 2500 then a Saab and an Audi behind that, then in lane two cars are going straight and I wait as three or four cars go past in this lane I creep up to get a better look It's clear and seems traffic is clear, anyways I start my turn as soon as my front wheels touch wood street I get blasted by a land rover doing 50+ never saw it coming, Now wood street is three lanes wide One to turn left onto, one to go straight and one to turn right, My car does an 180 pass these three lanes than an additional 25 feet or so out of the intersection. Now mind you this is a 40 min ride from my home and I was less than fucking 500 feet from where I need to be.... So needless to say I was very pissed and it was a test day.... Will it was pretty much a downward spiral after that, I did start and finish the car about a week later however, It just really pissses me off I had so much work into my car, I mean it had brand new shocks, struts, springs all around all new bushings, all new brakes brand new clutch I rebuilt engine with forged rods, pistons {11.5:1}, and had new oem sleeves pressed in, Custom ECM and spray, She was flawless in every way to me in any case... all gone, She was pretty much ready for a sounds system too, the doors were already sound deadens as well as the trunk, I had a false floor in it doors were ready for 7'' I was going to use the money made off the charger to finish here up. To make shit even worse I was between jobs at the time, I got home that evening and my replacement phone was there... Fired it up checked my voicemail got a call from rockenbach Chevy he said I was pretty much hired pending a drug test... but guess what thats a 30 min drive out in Grayslake so yeah Ive been fucked since then and Now Im in so much fucking debit, my car was paid in full but figure 5-7K worth off stuff, got 16K I have to come up with for being underinsured, I owe my school 4.5K, then about 3K in my medical bills... Thank god I still live with my parents otherwise I might have jumped off a building by now... But back to the car that started it all The outside The swag Sound Deading (Not the best job but it was smooking hot and none of it was visble) various install pics This is a seald box this was latter change to an upright postion fired though the rear deck Split loom rocks! There are no pics of the tweets there are in dash mounted, firing up at the windshiled Compents Headunit: Pioneer AVIC-X920BT IMHO this unit does alot of stuff will but not sucks in the audio deparment, Has shitty line out volatge, poor eq'ing no T/a and for all that money a carputer is a much better bet. And werid ipod issue sometimes. stick with kenwwond for GPS though all though not bad it srsly lacking on the pionner x2 Dayton RS180 7" X2 Dayton RS28A-4 Tweet's x2 Dayton RSS315HO x1 ZRS C9 Comp amp powers interior speaekrs (really nice amp) x1 ZRS mono block for subs bridge to two ohm (still not reall enough power but was a last mintue thing) Knu Koncepts wirring Sounds so much better than stock with way less stuff we took out more weight in stock compnets then we put in even with sound deading...
