Yeah, I agree with you on everything. I missed that OP was wanting to get a new amp, I thought people were trying to talk him out of that one (that cheap) amp and I was just trying to say it will work. There was one poster who told him to ditch the multi channel and when another poster suggested a mono would be better, I just mis-read it to say you couldn't use a multi like that. Now that I read it again I see what he was saying. Someone else can chime in on Hifonics, I don't know much about them, however this amp here will work well with your sub. Hey awesome! I was just looking at that EXACT amp last night. Might have to go for it!

The 350 watt RMS amp (2 channel, bridged into 4ohm) will work just fine for that sub. Why does everyone keep insisting that you can't use multi channel amps on subs? That amp isn't the best amp around but it will sure do him fine until he gets a better amp. Of course you can use multichannels for subs...and monoblocks for your front stage...the point is... Kynto never said you can't, he suggested the easier more efficient route. Fair enough, there was another post that said monoblocks were for subs and multichannels were for mids and highs that I was more referring too. Although in this case, the 2 channel amp (aside from being cheap) really does work just fine for what this guy wants. I see. Yeah, there is about a 30/70 mix of good and bad advice on the forum. Some...opinions and misinformation. I see where you are coming from though Say I were to spend around $250-$350 on a "quality" amp...what would you suggest for the JL Audio 15? Im open for suggestion, obviously I posted on an open forum. Its only in my work car but I still want it (the system) to do some damage to the neighbors lol. I agree maybe I should do some more research but thats kinda why im here! Its not easy to post on a forum and get an immediate resopnse or even positive feedback. I do appreciate everyone's advice though. Mono or 2 channel, whatever it may be, let me know some decent amps in that price range. I've put a few thousand into other systems but didn't install myself. There should be (2) +/- terminals on the sub itself. + -------- + - -------- - if your looking at the sub magnet UP. or just run off one set of terminals on the sub? ^wires^ Pretty sure your sub is a SVC. run one set of wires from terminal to terminal on the sub then bridge it on the amp or just put it on one channel? or a neg from one side of sub and positive from the other side of sub bridged or unbridged...i guess thats what im trying to get at. my brother just blew up a 18" RE from hooking up wrong...trying to avoid that lol
