  1. There is NO comparison when comparing an optima and an XS Power battery... The XS Power battery is night and day better... Check out THIS LINK and ask Nathan over at XS what kind of battery you should get... That's your best bet... Don't cheap out when it comes to the most important part of your system, the power... that helps alot. i just set him a message so hopefully he will have me covered. i would love to get into group buy and save some money if i can
  2. also, would i be better off getting a battery from xs power or an optima? of course i hear nothing but good things about optima and there reliability but it seems like the xs power ones carry alot more amps. is this true? the two batteries i am looking to compare right now are Optima yellow top D27F and xs power D6500. they both have around 1050 cranking amps and about 70 amp capacity but the optima is $100 cheaper. also there is the Optima marine D31M which is 1100 cranking amps and 75 capacity at 250 which seems like my best bet
  3. thanks im going to give them a call tomorrow it puts out 4volts preamp
  4. its a v6. so basically just measure and check around. how many amps and what type of battery should it be? im thinking a deep cycle right?
  5. how would i go about finding a battery that fits? i have searched my car on websites such as autozone but they only give me one option to replace it.
  6. I could use alittle help with the powering for my car's new system. I own a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lardeo, and it comes stock with a 160 amp alternator and 760 amp battery. I made these current changes to the system; replaced all of the 6 stock speakers with Kicker KS line, replaced current amp with JL G6600 6-channel (75 watts RMS x 6 at 4 ohms at 14.4 volts), added 2 15" Kicker L5, added Kicker Kx1200.1 mono-channel for subs (1200 watts RMS x 1 at 1 ohm), added 4 selenium ST200 (75 watt RMS at 8 ohm) speakers on the outside and finally added Sony Xplod 2-channel amp for the seleniums (125 watt x 2 at 4 ohms). the car use to be in Florida but now is experiencing the cold of Indiana. my alternator has began to lightly squeak and it can barley be heard through the cars speakers. my question to anyone is what should i be adding to help out the power to my system (extra batteries, bigger battery, bigger alternator) or would i be alright to run the system without any additions? im hoping that this is not overloading my alternator and that it will not die not soon
