  1. if you want shoot me a pm...theres a few guys have loud set ups in centralia im good friends with...walled off jeep with 4 xfl's Awesome! Well I'm currently in Afghanistan right now, but when I'm home I'll for sure want to check them out!
  2. Nothing big like you're getting started with, but I've been messing around with car audio for a little while.
  3. Damn, didn't know there were so many people from Southern Illinois! I'm form Carlyle. OP, Good luck with the build!!
  4. Thanks a lot guys! I probably wouldn't be doing the big 3 except my headlights already dim when my electric fans kick on. It seems these car manufacturers keep making the electrical systems weaker and weaker.
  5. Hey guys, some of you already know that i've put a new pioneer avh-p4300dvd in my truck, so now it's time to start with the speakers. I was never a real audio lover, but reading around on the forums has made me want to upgrade mine. I'm not going crazy, gonna start with a sub and some good wiring and MAYBE some components. I've started building a box for under my seat. I'm going to be putting a rockford fosgate 10 inch P3 in it, probably sealed. I'm just building the box as big as I can and seeing how much room I have in it when I'm done. I only have a few for now, but On with the pics....... I won't be done with it this weekend, but hopefully I can get the big 3 done and have most of the wiring run for the amp. Let me know what you guys think I should be looking for or what I should be careful not to do, this is my first audio install. lol
  6. well from what i've been finding, the next size mono audiopipe smaller is less than half the power of this one. is it better to push the amp to it's max or the sub to it's max?
  7. http://cgi.ebay.com/AudioPipe-APSM-1300-2000W-Mono-Car-Amp-Mini-Amplifier-/260757070886?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item3cb6552426 Will this amp work for me?
  8. Great! Thanks for the quick reply. I don't plan on running anything more than the one p3 for a LONG time. That's what i wanted to hear. thanks again! edit: Dam* well, looks like the deal wasn't so great after all. Ok, so What amp do you guys recommend? I'm going for more reliability than anything, I want to install it and forget about it. Like always though, I would like to stay at a reasonable price.
  9. Hey guys, I've just recently got to installing all my "new to me" audio equipment in my 2010 extended cab silverado. I bought a new pioneer avh-p4300dvd and a used p3002 that came with a P3D410 10" sub. I'm finishing up the build on my box and it's going to be a down firing sealed box under my seat. The box is pretty big (around 0.95 without the sub in it). My question is, before I go cutting insulation out behind my seat for this amp, should I look into buying a different one? I can get a p8002 for 175 in great condition but i'm kinda hoping this 3002 will be big enough. I'm not at all going for spl, just want a good sounding stereo in my truck. I got the amp and sub for 120 shipped to my door (the only reason I didn't just go with an 8"). What do you guys think?
