  1. get the 7870. it wouldn't be beneficial to get a second card and run sli with your motherboard. your pci slots run 16x 4x so your second card would just get choked out and would end up actually slowing down your video cards.

i know it does, i mentioned that in my 3rd post. Sweet, ill be getting it as soon as i can afford it!

  2. thanks man, excatly the info i was needing.

would it be worth me spending a touch more and getting the flex edition? http://www.pbtech.co...-GDDR5-PCI-E-Vi

sorry there arent any specs on there but ya know.

and getting parts down here is a bitch! no matter if its audio of PC or anything related haha its all really expensive and we only get half the stuff available

The Flex Edition is actually a better option here. Totally forgot Sapphire had that option for a little bit more. It'll come out to $493 for the card but won't require any adapters for your third monitor (assuming your monitors can all use DVI/HDMI). It'll save you about $20 and you won't have to worry about expensive adapters possibly breaking. Good catch on that one!

do you think ill get away with my current power supply?

they are the monitors ive got. I currently have 2 and will get a third once the funds build up again after buying the card

  3. This is tough because you're in New Zealand. Components are a little harder to find over there and I don't even know where to look online besides the website you posted.

For your scenario I'd suggest upgrading your single video card rather than running 2 cards in SLI. The reason for this is that you'll not only need to buy the second 560Ti but you'll also need to upgrade your power supply to a 700W+ model in order to power both cards and the rest of the system. A quality 700W+ model on the website you posted costs around $194. Add that to the $343 for the 560Ti and you're looking at a total upgrade cost of around $537.

    For $515 you could get a Radeon 7870 2GB and an adapter for a 3rd monitor: http://www.pbtech.co...5-PCI-E-Video-c

    Adapter: http://www.pbtech.co...Male)-to-Single

The 7870 has a few advantages. It'll be a single card, meaning less power consumption (no need to upgrade power supply) and less heat (fans will make less noise). It also has 2GB of video memory as compared to the 1GB the 560Ti has. In a triple-1080p setup you'll want more than 1GB of RAM in modern games. The 7870 is known to run multiple-monitor setups at medium-high settings in newer games and should be a much better solution than running 2 560Ti given the total upgrade price.

  4. Im doing some reading, and i dont think my motherboard would take 2 cards, as it only has one PCI x16 slot. Should i get a larger single card, or another motherboard. larger expansion might be in the near future, so a larger motherboard wouldnt be a bad thing would it?

    http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=MBDGBM7903&name=Gigabyte-GA-X79-UD3-Intel-X79-Chipset-Socket-2011-

I currently have an AMD FX-4170 processor

  5. I currently have one Leadtek WinFast GTX560 Ti GDDR5.

Im looking for a solid card that can run 3 monitors, gaming on high at the lowest. I pay FPS. not Diablo 3 or anything.

I could get another 560Ti for 343.85, my current once can play anything on very high. Would two of these be enough?

or should i go for a single card and sell my current 560? give me some ideas

    (prices are NZD)

  6. That's some good stuff listed there and a great place to start. Have a look through and see what you think would work for what he needs. And again this is personal preference I would use a horn over a tweeter anyday. But read up as much as you can on every item and make sure they will all work well together regarding crossover points etc. is he wanting the mid/highs to be bi amped? Another thing you can look into

  7. crown ftw. or qsc.

Dont do super tweets. Get a horn loaded compression driver.

they spread the highs alot better then tweeters and are alot more effecent. How big is he wanting to go. I would suggest 2 cabs a side. one with a single 18. one with 2 15"s and a horn. You could do double 18's for subs if you want. depends how easy you want this to be moved around
