  1. yeah, i know that, just want to try and get an overall view, that out of the people that do burp that low they are generally ok. i know power supply is a big thing, so thats kinda what i need to know as well from the people going that low. thats before any box rise too.
  2. has anyone burped these amps that low? any problems doing so? ill have upto 7 XS D1400 batteries to use with the engine off (dont have alts to support high charging in this vehicle)
  3. Hi guys, im moving from streetbass and ground pounding over to DB Drag next year and im after some guidence on a box. want a SSnw box im using 2x Level 5 M1 18's (dual 1.4's) and 1 Sundown SAZ 2500d (will use a pair of them for competition) now im putting this into a van, so not really short on space. my plan is to start big with the box, and shrink it to suit. my questions are, what sort of size box's have people used with this sort of "low power" im going to be using? and how much port area? i dont want loads of people saying dont bother, not enough power etc, its for fun, to keep me amused to see how loud i can get with the equipment i have. i only want to run one amp daily as its a daily drive and power supply is crap, but i dont mind going into low voltage for testing. Just so you guys know, this equipment has come out of my streetbass car, with 14v xs batteries, and with this equipment i had a 157.6 at 33Hz, so i have the potential to get loud Thanks for any help
  4. So, long time without an update on here! i made a few modifications for strength in my cabin steel box section down the centre of the roof braced with steel poles front and back that improved my scores, and took me up to 154.3 @ 40 Hz 155.3 @ 33 Hz 155.2 @ 25 Hz 153.2 @ 20 Hz and peak of 156.0 @ 31 Hz Then came these lovely XS Power D1400's. 7 of them, to run just my 2 SAZ 2500's. left my dual inputs off for now while i wait for new buss bars and a custom fuse holder, but there is a lot more 0AWG to go in there! and with those pupies in the back, i hit these numbers! and a nice new trim pannel for the boot to make it look pretty. Went to a show at the weekend, and walked away with first place in DB Drag, with a 153.something at 29 Hz. peaking low sealed up lol! i also walked away with first place in Propper Droppers, and EMMA (European Mobile Multimedia Association) Now to start searching for that 158........
  5. well whatever the power increase i got, it worked i had a 1.6db gain on my peak frequency, and it took me from a 156.0 to a 157.6. AWESOME!
  6. maybe not on music, but what about burps when i compete? if for example i had box rise to 1 ohm, what would one of these amps produce with this voltage?
  7. Ratings : 2500 @ 1 ohm 1200 @ 2 ohms 600 @ 4 ohms ---------- Testing : Wired @ 1 ohm in Derrick's Explorer : 1690 Watts 21.4 Amps 78.97 Volts 3.69 ohms Actual Wired @ 0.25 in Derrick's Explorer: 3360 Watts 63 Amps 53 Volts 0.85 ohm actual Around 14v actual voltag clamp tests from a 2500. should do more than rated as it is, so should both should have been be doing over 2.5k with my 12v batteries??
  8. amps are wired to 0.7 5k from each amp? really that much?
  9. what sort of power can i expect from these amps with these batteries?
  10. its at 1.4 cause the subs are dual 1.4's. will be wired to 2.8 each then down to 1.4, currently have a 3500 on each sub, but want to drop power. and i just fried the amps
  11. in the format i compete in in the uk, i need below 6k RATED power, what would the NS-1 do at 1.4ohms on paper? Thanks
  12. Do you have info on the mounting depth of these? and level 6's. would be real helpfull if you do
