Not sure if this has been posted before or not, but it's incredible.

IA 20.1? My thread is in the f/s section.
-
I see i see, kind of a happy medium you could call it.
-
Nice, that's a gigantic port. Why tuned to 40 hz?
-
i would go with the crescendo's crescendo is out of stock till mid next month and i hear Dc are good to
x2, they're actually coming out with a new lineup soon (on preorder now) and they look sexy as hell. Plus the board looks eerily similar to other amps that cost much more
-
No amp is really ideal to run at .5 ohms. From what i know, it voids the warranty also.
Each of the amps listed are good amps, but i wouldn't be caught dead running them at .5 ohm daily.
Has he got the subs already?
-
The power difference would not be audible.
-
High quality 4 gauge would be enough for both amps.
-
Dead hookers.....
wtf...
..everybody knows that those are for the undercoating
I use them to deaden my door panels. You would be surprised...
-
Sounds like a good system. Plan on putting an amp on those crescendo mids?
Don't waste your money for 1/0 on that amp, especially since you have it wired to 2 ohms. Same goes for the big 3.
-
i'd say deadener would work better than wood
Nothing beats MDF bonded to the roof.
concrete
Diamond...

The Fi Q is going to have better SQ hands down but a LVL 4 will get louder, personally if you're SPL oriented get the XL or go with the Q for the price.
What would you say to the SQ world champions that use L7's? Would you tell them to switch drivers because another one is so much better?
-
Whichever one you can build the best enclosure for.
-
Yeah, uh huh, you install better than anyone on here. Riiiiight. Mhmmm. Surrre.
-
I'd put my life on it that ported will always be louder than sealed, no matter the driver.
The shape of the driver has nothing to do with the shape of the soundwaves being produced, just the air that's being displaced.
-
I wouldn't doubt it, since adding amps has a tendency to increase impedance rise.
-
What exactly is an UFO BTL?
2nd generation. 1st gen was the triple stack, 3rd gen is the neodymium.
-
TitebondII ehh? Where can it be bought? Lowes maybe?
do you have to use clamps too? or a nail gun to hold it together while titebondII drys?
Does work good with the mdf?
Yes, any store like that.
I don't use clamps, just screws.
It does work well with mdf because it penetrates the wood.

That my friend's Jeep with 1 15", 1 12", & 2 MTX 12" subs with crap amps is louder than my two AQ 12's...
Holy fail. With that much cone area i sure hope he's louder than two 12's.
-
I would definitely change the ground to the strut tower or the frame.
-
Oh, lol YES. You said "exerting" not "excurting". Never heard that term used before but i know what you mean...
But if your sub blows from over-excursion then either your box is WAY too big or your settings are not set correctly.
-
You don't blow coils by over-excursion, it causes mechanical damage (broken spiders, broken leads, etc.)
A possible reason why a coil would cook when playing low frequencies is because of the actual impedance dropping, causing clipping and excess heat.
-
If you have access to another woofer, just do a simple swap to see if it's the sub for sure. If the second sub doesn't work then you know you have a bad amp. Two birds with one stone.
-
I won't argue with that. The car is 17 years old and the alternator has never been replaced so I wouldn't be surprised but thank you anyway. Just for my knowledge, what should my voltage reside at during idle with a normal alternator?
Well on a normal car it's around 14.2 to 14.8, depending on temperature. It will fix your voltage drop, i promise it. If you can afford it, look into MechMan or DC Power.
Holy sheeeeiiit...
