  1. Cool well I guess im going to test out this site, i want my system back asap! hah thanks again
  2. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12018_Alpine-MRP-M500.html this catching my eye all ready
  3. Winn! Dude! That site is sick, those amps are almost 1/3 the price I've been paying. Thanks for the help!
  4. Looking at the wiring diagram i can now say they are wired in paralell if that helps, I geuss i will try series, I had the old kicker wired in series but the didnt pound. because at 8 ohms the amp will put out little little power. not close to what you want. but that doesnt mean turn the gain up unless you enjoy throwing amps in the trash Well what size amp would you reccomend, I want a new Alpine Vpower anyway

  6. I have the spec booklet and it says DC resistence 3.51 ohm and nominal impedence 4 ohm nothing about a final ohm
  7. I don't know what they are wired to but I can describe how my friend wired them which is simple enoug. There are 4 wires going to my amp, 2 positive, 2 negative all coming off the postitive and negative terminals on the subs, nothing wired fancy inside the box. Then they are twisted together and bridged to the only 2 bridgable channels my amp has, the other 2 channels are only for high pass.
  8. Ya brand new subs, nothing changed in the system except the subs. The gain is about 3/4 of what it could be but i turned it down and the problem still happens
  9. First off, I am a newb to car audio but I'm trying to learn. If I leave out info you need, let me know. My system. Head Unit - Alpine IDA-X303 Amp - Sony XMZR604 Amp 600watt subs - 2 10" kicker comps 125 rms 8 ohm This system has worked great, but I just got 2 10" JL 10WX-4's for christmas which now make my amp go into protection mode after 2-3 mins of running them. It seems that when I start trying to get more volume the amp shuts down. The new subs are 200rms - 400watt peak - 4 ohm. My amp is a 3/4 channel and I have them both bridged together. Any help would be great! Happy X-mas!
