i have an ia 40.1 ran at 1 ohm with 2 dc xl 15 d1's i was wondering being as the amp is a dual zero gauge input, can i temporarily run it off of one of the positive inputs, and one of the negative inputs? thanks again

Honestly, if you turned everything flat and the smell is still there it's up in the air what it could be. Sub being warm could mean it's getting clipped or it's getting over powered. Gotcha. I couldnt imagine 1800 rms being too much for an xl 15, but i guess i could back off the gain slightly more. A clean 1800W is one thing, but a clipped signal is another... gotcha man, thats what im trying to figure out, but i need an oscope as stated b4 :/ looking to buy one for a good price anyways. wattage is good, gains should be good, box is good, dont know what the prob is. thinkin its still some glue possibly

Uhm alright no need to be somewhat of a dick, all im asking for is guidance, not someone who will tear a wrong answer apart and all you have to do is ask some of your own wonders such as box specs, heat dissapation, etc. Yes i have those answers.. Box is 7.65 cuft internally tuned to 37 hrtz. Subs are up, port back, triple Recessed baffle on top, sub does not seem to heat that much anymore no matter how hard its being pushed lately. Amp is an ia40.1 , my bud had a clamp and a dmm, we tested output at idle a week back, and it was roughly 1802 at about 13 some odd volts
