  1. I've strapped my amps and hooked everything up! It is loud ... but i think i want louder I had to add a brace between the top of my box and the hardtop because the hardtop flexed so much it slapped the roll bar making all kinds of unpleasant sounds. It still makes noise when i play at full volume. Something else is making noise too, i think its the doors vibrating. I do a little hair trick on myself constantly with my head so close to the port. The seat shields me some but that air is cold on my ears. I did order a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X891 and some Infinity Reference 5.25". Not sure if maybe the headunit will help with the bass. Making it sound better/louder maybe. I see others posting worklogs of project cars. I've been considering purchasing a project car. Something old and cheap that i can tear apart and put the loud system in that i want. I've been wanting to try to fiberglass my jeeps dash but it's difficult with it being my daily driver. Would be nice to have a project car. I have an idea of a jeep cherokee with my 4 SSDs and 2 sundowns along with another 4 SSDs and a couple more sundowns. I don't know how much space is in a cherokee, without the backseat, but i'm going to find one and take some measurements sometime. Not sure if i'll buy a project car but i am considering it
  2. thanks. I still got some work to do on it though. Hook my other amp up, seal a couple holes better, and sound deaden the crap out of everything. Also my passenger mirror moves. One minute i can see behind me the next minute all i can see is the passenger door...
  3. I used the welding cable from ebay. It is different than what most jeep owners do. Thats why i asked if i ruined my jeep. It seems like a lot of people get offended if someone does something weird or different to a jeep.
  4. Some more pics... (4) 15" SSD with copper coils hooked to 1 sundown 1500d. I have another sundown 1500d but not the wire to hook it up yet. 2 cheapo speakers in each door. 1 yellow top battery. I think its the biggest model made.
  5. I didn't have access to a camera to take more pics then so i had to wait. I got some now though...
  6. My first vehicle is a jeep wrangler with a hardtop. I had put a small system in it but as time went by I kept upgrading the system. By the time i relized i needed a different vehicle to accommodate my growing system i discovered my jeep depreciated to much in value to sell at this time. So i have tried to squeeze a decent size system in my tiny jeep. An unusual thing to do to such a vehicle... First I added a head unit. Its a Sony CDXM800. I bought it from a vendor at a fair. My first upgrade, i didn't know what i was buying. I just took whatever the guy was selling Then I added a computer with a 7" touchscreen. Sound deadener was next. 2 layers of damplifier with 2 rolls of peal & seal on top. A little heat wave here and some overkill there. 6 yards of ensolite is on its way in the mail. Then i threw in some amplifiers and several subs, many feet of 0 guage, and multiple speakers... pics later.
