this is the description of the box he sent me : In order to make the internal volume correct, I had to shrink it down to 20 inches in height. Here's what I came up with; 40Wx20Hx28D, 8.4ft^3 net, 117in^2 port area, 21.5 inches effective port length for 34hz tuning to go with 4 subs at top with port at top .... If i knew how to upload pics i'd send you a picture..... but u can see it here http://s1142.photobucket.com/albums/n614/guimond47/?action=view¤t=mybox5.jpg#!oZZ1QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs1142.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fn614%2Fguimond47%2F%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3Dmybox5.jpg copy and paste the link into your internet browser:) -

hey guys i currently have 3 12" alpine type R's in a 7.2 Cu-NET box and i want to add another. is a 7.2 cu-net box too small for 4 alpine type R's? and if i want my box tuneed to a lower freq do i make my port longer tword the wall of the inside of the box so air cant get out as easily? if its too small then im thinking of building a new box. okay my old box is tunned to 35.5 hz. it suck on lows like no flex to my mirrors. for example , the song young jeezy - count it up. strickly a 30hz tone around i think and theres no excusion and barly air movement in the vehicule. if i tune to 32 hz would it be better. ? a longer port makes the freq tune lower if im right? because i got plans for a box at 8.4 cu-net for 4 12" and he tunned it to 34 hz and i want a lower freq like 30-32 hz to hit that flexin' spot. ya know. let me know some details thanks. -
Sorry i ment 7.2 Cu NET. if theres even a difference? if there isent im thinking of building a new box. okay my old box is tunned to 35.5 hz. it suck on lows like no flex to my mirrors. for example , the song young jeezy - count it up. strickly a 30hz tone around i think and theres no excusion and barly air movement in the vehicule. if i tune to 32 hz would it be better. ? a longer port makes the freq tune lower if im right let me know some details thanks.
