Its hooked up directly to an empty slot on my fuse panel...

A dash guage i installed. Its digital. Just a cheap one..

The regulator is what makes the alt decide to go full field or not depending on the load that it demands .... Thats how it works

Also i noticed that i have a 200amp fuse for my wire run... I should upgrade that...

Well as for my un named 253 amp alt , i think the the voltage regulator set curve is set different the the mechmans. They put out 220 amps at idle. Mine puts out 110 amp at idle and the mech mans are 1000 time better built yes but when i rev over 1300rpm i think i should get 220amp from mine atleast.... Mech mans are built for what we do. From what i heard they can set the regulator to your liking. My battery that i spent 300$ on is a northstar agm ultra. It has a crank pulse of 1600 amps so it says and the reserve capacity isent big due to the fact that the gm battery trays are so small.... Does it hurt an amp bumping at idle and i get a voltage drop to 13.2-13.4~ cause at idle thats what it falls to... I never checked voltage drop at the amp itself tho... Thx to whom is helping me steer in the right direction. I miss my subs and i might pick up a rockford t2500 but i wanna see why im frying amps first.... If i blew the mosfets in that rockford like the orion did id be soooo pissed!

Close enough . Its massive tho . But yeah wat do u guys think on the electrical system?

For wire run front to back ive got the bigest welding cable i could find 4/0. Its like 3 0guage wires in one. Cost me 300$ for 16 feet lol. For batterys i have two under the hood. One agm with gold post(not lead) that cost me 300$ (900cca) and a regular lead acid batt (800cca). For an alternator ive got a 253 amp . I went to see my local altornator dealer and showed him what was going he said my belt was too loose. so im working on routing it differently with double the tension No batteries in the back ...

Hahha sadly yes i did . It blew and the volume wasent even on when it did. Sad to say... But i guess back to the cheap low line hifonics i go! Im going tonight to get my alt load tested and such its like 2 years old

Alright . with the gm alt's does it make sence after i start my truck on a cold day it notice my batts lost charge so the voltage goes up to 14.8 to recharge my batteries. I dont have volt drop when it does that. Its like the rectifier in my alt goes to max. Then once the batts are charge or a normal day ill get volt drop on idle. I have a 253amp alt... The rectifyer should output amps when it needs it shouldnt ?

Alright thanks! Im just wondering what i can do to help my voltage drop ... Id like to keep it at 14v-13.8. While playing . I had a orion 2500d that fried the mosfets because of voltage drop. The amp was tunned with my oscilloscope. Any pointers to keep voltage up?

I was wonderin if i can keep 1 12.6 volt batt and add a 14volt batt(xs power) in parallel togethor ? Will this over charge my 12 v batt. I know my alt is running at 14.4 v and i plan on adding a diode to bump my voltage up to 14.8 ish on the alt. im just wondering if it will overcharge and damage my 12 v agm battery

In order for me to tune low and not have port noise i need to have the piping sticking out a few inches ... Would it be better to change my port location to the side soo i can go up to 25" long insted of only 13" on the dept side... Anyone have an input for me would be great

Yea right now im getting alot of port noise ... U can hear the air coming out

Right now i have a 9 " 4" round port on each side as u can see seperate chamber with poly fill

Soo i wanted to just get a rufff average port size soo i can at least get close to wat i want:p i know im not expecting bang on that hz lol

Yea i can comment . My box is really hard to descirbe . It has two parts too it . Cause it goes smaller in bettween and goes big again at the other end lol with my calculation i got 1.6 on each side

Isted of 14 is like 13" lol soo i just put 9" ports ... See if that will do it ..

5/8" lol sorry man and yea ? I was getting around 9" long lol im not good either i was gonna test and experiment . Im also putting poly fill soo the box seems bigger to the sub

Hey guys i built a new box that goes under my seat in my ext cab and i have 1.6 cu. ft per side , im gettint the new 2012 10" alpine type r's and want to port the box . I will be using pvc piping then after flare it with a heat gun. My box dept is 14" deep x 7 " high x 18" wide . My round port is going throught the 14" lengh and loooking to be tunned at around 32 hz . Whats the lengh of my port ?

i have 1 fi btl with 40 hrs of music time , like new !

You can i have the brz 2400. but if u dont see over 13.5 volts ur gonna fry them like pancakes..LOL

thanks bro

Dont mean too be a noob about this and piss youguys off bbut i cant find the download links lol anyone link one over to me thanks

Left at 0 bass boost is nothing but clipped signal . And if not used right u can fry amps or speakers
