  1. honestly if you have to ask the question then that leads me or us to believe that you don't have the experience to push well past rated power to those subs and expect them to hold up fine, a vast majority of people that run 2500+ watts to a pair of sa 12's don't play too far below tuning or they don't play full tilt for 30min at a time, if you're dead set on a pair of sa-12's then get a pair of dual 4's on a brz1700.1 at 1 ohm and call it a day.

  2. What are the rules in lightweight? Any sub size or amp power limits?

    10-10s, 7-12s 4-15s, 3-18s

Any amount of power, but limited to 5 batts and 2 alts

the windows are real low in those. staying under them will suuuuuucccccckkkkk

Tell me about it. Roughly 13.5 inches from floor to widow line.

isn't lightweight bassboxing now limited to 4 12's maximum cone area? cuz I know nic watts swapped his zcon 15's to zv3 12's to remain in lightweight and he actually got louder.

  3. That's pretty cool, do you race with subs in or do you take them out with the box?

I just put the subs in the truck two months ago. Haven't raced it since then. I usually only race it when my race car is broken or I feel like messin around. With the addition of the 28" wheels and the stereo stuff, I'll probably be lucky to run under 17 seconds....lol

lol same thing my brother has done, he does bracket racing and whenever his car has broken down in the middle of a points event he just puts the number on the tow truck, changed to e.t. to 16 flat and runs it haha, he's won 3 events with the truck because of that :D

  4. I'll keep it plain and simple HATERS GONNA HATE, all these dumb motherfuckers that talk shit are just jealous that they can't afford 1/4 of the stuff you own, a prime example of this is justin beiber, sure the kid had a pretty high voice at first but isn't that how we all were at some point? people call him a faggot and other shit when in reality I bet that kid can get more pussy than any of us would ever imagine haha, kinda went of topic but owell I think you get my point. Just don't let it get to you steve, if you were the asshole/douchebag yada yada yada that some people make it out to be you wouldn't have the huge following you do on this forum and on youtube. Shit I bet you make more money off of youtube than most of those shit talkers and their minimum wage jobs.

  5. I like everything besides the metal fencing on the basket that prevents us from seeing the coil, I like being able to see the coil moving when subs are inverted also being able to see if the coils cooked or not :D but that's just my opinion!!!

If we use it the purpose of it is to keep foreign objects out of the gap

that's what I figured, i've seen some people use fiberglass insulation instead of polyfill inside their sealed boxes, that shit got everywhere on the subs, especially on the mesh on the basket (VVX 12's)

people are known to also not clean out all the mdf dust from there boxes when there finished building them and it get sucked into the motors

i'm guilty of that, had to shave the cutout for my new subs, forgot to clean it, got a face full of mdf dust when the first low note kicked in, scared the shit out of me, I had just finished putting vinyl cleaner on my dash so everything got stuck :(

  7. My friend got me hooked on audio, he introduced me to SMD and ever since then i've been learning and learning, 2 years ago when I first joined I ordered a headunit, amp, and amp kit for my car for mids and highs, my brother installed everything for me, after 2 years now i'm the one installing and tuning things for my brother, it feels good when everyone at my school knows i'm the one to go to when they have questions about audio or need a system installed, all thanks to SMD!
