  1. Aren't titanium tweeters ear piercing?

I personally love my RF speakers, even without an amp they sound good

idk about titanium but yes to the RF speakers, I have the T1 6.5 coaxials and they get loud and clean at all volume levels.

    not an L shaped port...just a slot. aproxx 17 inches deep...15 inches tall x 3 inches wide

Then it's probably a gain issue because you're using two amps. One gain may be slightly higher than the other

i just dont get why one amp picks up the lows better...im using the older gray zx750...and a new 2010 zx750(black one)

could there be a diff between them in power and shit?

Yes. This is the problem. You set your gains wrong and the amps are different.

FML. i jus wanna sell em both. and get a RF t-1500.

    run it at 1 ohm.

If you did this, you would not be disappointed

i had a RF p.1000.1 but then i thought 2 zx750's would be louder...but i fucked myself over now...i just sold my p.1000.1 to my buddy.

i had em pushin around 1200rms from tht RF amp. but i was lookin for a wee bit more.

any suggestions on a good cheaper amp than a t-1500? but still gets me around a true 1500RMS

    crescendo 2k, DC 2k?

  3. good stuff meade, quick question though, at the end you said he can turn that up all the way and there's no distortion? how is there no distortion on the subwoofer if you turned the amp up as high as it can go before sending a clipped signal, highly overpowering the subwoofer even if it's clean power? you can get distortion with clean power if it's highly overpowering a sub or door speakers right??

  4. lol, was actually looking into SPL in forums a sec ago.

ya, im definately going to put alot of thought into the speakers b4 i actually get any, theres way too many choices out there, prolly look into everything i can for a week then make decisions on ATLEAST the mid/highs.

was thinking that i could always just go with 2x 18s and 4x 15s for huge airflow, but i listen to metal a good bit also, and i heard speakers that size are bad for it because of the reflex time and i wouldnt get a decent sound quality from the quick drums. lol, but i have enough room for about 28x 8s in there

don't mix and match sub sizes unless you're talking about subwoofers in the doors like meade or trippi, and i'm sure many others also.

if you plan on doing a wall and all this good stuff with extra batts, zero gauge, etc etc, I would also take the time to do some reasearch on different sub companies, and also save up a lot of money if budget is an issue, just wait and do it right off the bat bro. like others have said, with the proper equipment, there's many people at there that are able to do hair tricks with sealed boxes.

  6. So sorry to hear about your brother man, but it's a great thing that you are keeping his dream and memory alive!

I got into car audio because I like to feel my music as well as hear it. It's also something different, not many people know anything about car audio, so it's the perfect hobby for me. I love music, and I love doing something different from the crowd. It's also nice to have friends ask for advice and help when they look into sound systems. Makes me feel useful :)

    this x2

  7. sorry for your loss man, i'm currently in your situation right now, two of my friends passed away last week from a car accident because they were driving drunk, they didn't hit any other cars, it was just them, they lost control of the truck, rolled over multiple times, stopped at a tree and both died, it's ridiculous knowing they could have avoided it by not driving home that night by spending the night at my house :(

  8. actually, yellow is constant, red is ignition, your wiring is ghetto as hell btw op LOL and jcon, he doesnt have this, but another blue wire could be for a power antenna. op, just hit the hardware store, and get some crimp-caps. make sure your fuse didnt blow in the HU and that you pushed the power button, lol. if that still doesnt work, make sure the plug is all the way in, and if STILL nothing, get yourself a walmart DMM for $10 and check around for the correct voltage.

excuse me not to sound like a rude ass but i've been on this forum for a little while now and I don't know what op means, can you tell me what it means lol?

    Original poster.

    thank you :D
