  1. I know how you feel. i bought my 4th gen, 32 gb when it first came out, paid somethin stupid like 425, dropped it a couple weeks ago a foot from the ground, cracked the whole top left corner. Still works perfectly tho.

yeah so does mine, i'm lucky it didn't crack the actual LCD, that would make it useless but the cracked glass is still very annoying after my ipod was in mint condition.

  2. If their strapped at 1 ohm each, there is no way to strap them to .5 each. So he had to choose between .5 final load or 2 ohm. Since he had an installer do it, it's probably a good thing that he doesn't run the amps at .25 each.

i'm not exactly sure what coil configuration the sub is but each amp is strapped at 1 ohm so a final load of 2 ohms I think.

No worries. I can just promise you his electrical isn't enough to run two amps at .25 each. That being said, if he would have an amazing electrical, and a proper box, wiring it to .5 total, this thing would probably SLAM!

    Edit: yes, that's a 2ohm load.

it slams already but he'd rather be safe then sorry, all he has is zero gauge ran through the car to a 100lb rear battery idk what kind it is, not kinetik or XS power, but also not optima's, he's still gotta do the big three though.

you think? you have to be 100% sure

i'm 95% sure each amp is running at 1 ohm, they are strapped, so a final load of 2 ohms right? the sub is a dual 1 ohm coil.

  4. The Lightning Audio Storms's were sexy and performed great too, they were tooled by TC sounds

damn those subs look pretty bad ass, wats the power handling on them?

I believe they are "rated" at 1000rms

Iirc, lightning audio is owned by RF. But as far as low end stuff, thats not true. Some of their entry lvl things might be cheap, but it's still an amazing company. And their amps are something to brag about.

BTW what does Iirc mean? i've seen a lot of people use that on these forums but idk what it means?

    If I Remember Correctly

    ok thanks man!

  5. Lighting audio been making crap for years , if they are linked to rockford at all I wouldent know , but rockford has low end stuff so why would they need to sell other low end stuff under a diff name ,

ummm who the hell told you rockford makes low end stuff? maybe their prime series isn't all that great but punch is good and power series is fucking amazing imo and many others, lots of people say their subs are paper weights idk what to say about that because iv'e never owned the subs, but their amps are amazing.
