Just get a PS3, they don't discriminate, Sony fucks all their users at the same time.

If I were you i'd just kick him in the balls tell him to fuck off then cut your losses and learn from your mistakes.

I'd love to see an 8k amp going to those subs

how the hell does someone manage to do that?
-
awesome install man, I love rockford!

looks and must sound amazing!

nothing to do with the DD1 but if you are using the CD to set it and playing music with an Iphone or Itouch there will be distortion. I saw the guy with the crescendo and btls was playing with an Iphone. if you didnt do it, you should of set the gains with the Iphone playing tones. something about the Iphones, the just put out more signal, my car when Itouch > Zune > CD it terms of what was louder on the same deck volume
maybe ill put this to the test when mine comes in.
yeah I think pretty much all ipods do that cuz my ipod at max volume hooked up to the head unit aux, makes the head unit distort at 30 out of 35, if I put a CD in it distorts at 34 out of 35, I know i still need to get it tested with the DD-1 though.

nice review man, i need to get my damn DD-1 also!! i want moar powah and deebeez!!
-
i'd also get the other 12 down the road.

And a few more pics
front pods installed
Will post more pics when we do more work on the rest of the pods.
-
I've been a little lazy with the picture taking but we got a lot of work done, so far the front pods are 100% done and installed, now we gotta finished the rear doors and the rear deck pods, but anyways here are the pics i've taken so far.If
If we were to paint them they would need a lot more sanding and bondo to smooth all the surfaces out but since we are using fabric to cover them there's really no point in spending the time to get them perfect so yeah lol....

They are looking good, keep it up, the more you build, the easier and faster they get! Go out and get a plunge router and jasper circle jig, and then rings start really looking good, I love mine!
thanks man! yeah we have yet to buy those tools you listed above, little by little we are gonna start buying in bulk materials for installs like 100 ft rolls of all types of wires, extra batteries, etc etc. I noticed in your sig or whatever it's called that you run arc audio, we're in the process of doing an SQ install with all rainbow audio and arc audio stuff, should be pretty nice.

I am about to purchase a DC lv 4 12in sub with d2 coils with a Audioque 1200w @ 1 ohm amp. I was wondering if my car, which is a 2010 Scion xD, can handle a 1200w amp just the way it is or do i need to install a capacitor or do the big 3 installation. Please post if it can or cant handle the amp and if it cant handle it what should i do to make it work, thanks in advance.
I think it will be just fine, stay away from capacitors, big 3 upgrade and a bigger batt never hurt anyone though

two words, FUCKING AWESOME!
-
that ONX4.125 is a pretty solid choice, it does close to it's rated power.
-
I wish I could get a demo of those smds!
-
I would have had to change my pants after that.

That's the exact model that I run.
It's an awesome unit with a lot of nice features and it has high-voltage pre outs should your dad ever want to upgrade down the road.
There is one major quirk about this unit that I tell just about anyone who brings it up. If you or your dad or whoever wants to use an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, or any iOS device, it will often give you an annoying error code that can only be fixed by cycling through the sources. Something about iOS and Pioneer's firmware don't mix, so it will often trigger an error code within the unit. It will still work even with the error code, but the screen will just read " Error - 16" instead of the music information. This happens to me just about every other time I get in my car. It is really a non issue for me though because I have it set on the headunit to control via iPod instead of on the deck itself.
If you don't think your dad will ever use an iOS device on it, then disregard everything I just said. Also note I said iOS devices, it will work just fine with regular iPods like the classic.
do you think I could set my kenwood deck to control via ipod instead of the deck also? i hate not being able to charge my ipod and control it at the same time,

loving every part of this install! port area FTMFW!!

actually they generally raise performance. less cone flex. a plastic dust cap will allow a little more cone flex...cone flex=bad and loss of DB
cone flex is the main cause of distortion right?

tuned in! can't wait to see some numbers!

A friend of mine got these lightning audio subs and amp installed at this local "professional" audio shop, he tells me lightning audio is like a baby company of rockford fosgate, that they just came out, I called BS on him. Is this true or not?
